I believe that people are a gift, I have an ability to bring the best out in people. I am able to listen and be able to tell my own stories to help people relate to me. I wanted to become a caregiver because my grandmother was in a nursing home and I saw how badly most people treated her and I wanted to be a person that others could count on. The biggest thing I enjoy about caregiving is the stories I learn, I love hearing about others lives and that even with the bad they still turned out good. I am a 52 year old with 3 daughter's. I have been a RN for years working in Wichita KS. My husband and I spend our summers at the lake during school break. I am not wanting to be tied down to working in a hospital during the summer, but would like to help else where if possible. Caregiving is all I have done during my career. I became a Caregiver in 2000 and a CMA in 2006. I have attended extended curriculum classes such as Geriatrics. I love the Elderly because they appreciate me and the things I do for them. I am proud to go out of my way to help them a little extra along the way. I also have 2 kids that like to help out.
