What makes me a great caregiver to me are I will go above and beyond for my residents a are whomever I work for. I am a perfectionist down to the last detail. What 1st attracted me to being a caregiver was my Grandmother she was an LPN up until her 2nd Surgery and was very proud of beinging an LPN. What solidified my beinging a caregiver are a CNA was my oldest son which put me in the role early on of becoming a caregiver He was had to have several surgeries do to a rare Gastrointestinal situation which caused him to be on An IV at all times, a feeding tube and a colostomy Bag for while but not anymore he is 16 now and will be celebrating 17 years of life in 6 month with none of the above. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is simply just the pure love of being able to help someone out period. Being able to see my 1st patient my oldest son see 16 and knowing it was partly my aiding in his care that got him to this milestone in his life is my personal achievement.

I took care of both of my parents. I love being around their wisdom. They think i'm funny and fun to be with. I would rather be around older people. Aways have since I was little. Guess it started in childhood since that's what we had living around us in our neighborhood.! And feel very blessed that its a calling too. I love talking and most of all listening to my clients. I'm very patient and dependable with a Big Heart.!

I've been educated, consistently trained, & certified in the home & healthcare field since 2004. I've had schooling as a medical assistant, pharmacy technician, ACP caregiver & a level 1 medication aid, etc. I've worked in other job fields but realized my passion is to serve & take care of other. I believe I was directed into this profession because I watched my mother & grandmother take care of a lot of people so it's kind of apart of my DNA. I enjoy this work because I believe this is my gift & I love to make people feel good about life through the ups & downs we face daily.
