I am generally a happy person who likes to keep busy. I feel that if you can do something now to make your tomorrows better, you should. I became a caregiver for a family member suffering with cancer. As her disease progressed I fould that I was good at managing the details of her disease and helping her gave me comfort. Making her life less stressful and ensuring she had the level of care she deserved made me happy. Hearing her stories and learning from her was one of the great experiences of my life.

I was a nurse aid for around 11 years at several different nursing homes. I started doing caregiving when my grandpa moved in with my parents. In 2018 my mother got diagnosed with Parkinson disease I helped her and still do from time to time when she can't do normal activities. This is why i continue to do caregiving work. What would happen if my mom didnt have me to help her when she cant do something. It made me want to be able to help others that dont have anyone there. I have worked for horizon health and also now work for encore as a caregiver. I love being able to help others that can't do normal things for themselves. It is so rewarding.

I enjoy helping people of any age or race. I cared for my dad after his stroke and my mom had cancer and was bed ridden . I enjoy this type of work it's very rewarding! My personal achievement is - I raised two children and have been married to the same man for 48 yrs . No greater Accomplishment then to care for others and to be able to help someone else also!
