My name is Tamara and I've been in the medical field for about 25 years and I love what I do. I always trying to make people day better just by a simple smile or just being there to listen. People who need care often take longer to complete simple tasks, patience and compassion can go a long way when it comes to helping anyone complete any task. I'm very dependable, detail oriented, self started and just love to make everyone feel comfortable and like family.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very responsible, dependable and work my best to make the one I am taking care of feel special and happy every day I care for them. What attracted me to becoming a Caregiver was that I was needing a job since I had just moved back to my hometown and filled out an application with Kelly Girls, an agency that hired people for different jobs. I was called to care for an 80 year + lady and enjoyed it. It was not what I went to College for, but continued to do both working in Administrative work and then part-time as a Caregiver. The thing that I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is the stories of those I care for. There is so much history that they have to share...even those from different parts of the Country and learning how different things were from then to now. My Mother was born in the Depression years and experienced the years of WWII, where 3 of her brothers were part of. It's the elderly who helped build the life around us and them being nurtured by their parents to give us a better tomorrow. I believe the most personal achievement I can say I am proud of is that I was taught good work ethics by my Mom, who was a farm girl. I started working at age 11 and have worked many different types of work and am a fast learner. I paid for my own College and worked at times 2 jobs to pay for my own apartment. In the Caregiving field, I have been taught some things that a Nurse is qualified for, but taught by the family of their loved one how to do certain tasks. I am very respectful of people and their property.

I am a very compassionate and patient caregiver. I go above and beyond to ensure my patient receives the best possible care that I can provide. I am extremely hardworking and helpful. I enjoy caregiving because of the sense of fullfillment I get by helping people. To me being a caregiver is much more than just a job, it's a passion of mine to help people. I received an award and high priase from my time as a patient care associate from both patients and coworkers at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

I have a very big and caring heart for elderly patients. My grandmother had elderlies that she took care of & I always helped her with them. I enjoy making others smile and helping them with any needs. An achievement I am proud of is being a mother, I have two girl toddlers that I love dearly. I am proud of the mother than I am to them.

I absolutely love caring for the elderly, this has been my passion growing up , & I've succeeded ! I've been a caregiver for 11 years. I have the patience & heart it takes to do this line of work.

I was a CNA years ago and I have also taken care of several family members. Especially in the end stages of their life. I started with taking care of a MS patient at 15 years old an then went on to work in nursing homes. I was trained in the Alzheimer's unit. And then once I had my son I stayed home for a few years to take care of him and let my CNA license go. But then was needed to take care of grandma while she was dying from Stomach cancer and non Hopkins lymphoma. Then my grandpa after her he had prostate cancer and then kidney failure. Then my other grandma also. Giving meds an bathing while In bed an taking her teeth out an cleaning them and also making sure she drank and ate. Reading to her and listening to Allen Jackson gospel music. Me an her both loved his gospel cds. We would also talk about God. church is something I'm very active in. Im also a member of the praise team and it is very important for me to be able to share that with others. I have plenty of experience with in home care an just being there so ppl are not alone. And if we can share the love of Christ while we share our time together is even more so a blessing. Im a mother of a now 13 yr old son and I've been with my husband for almost 18 years now.
