I'm a mother to four happy healthy children. After 21 years of traveling the world with my military husband I'm ready to pursue my dreams of helping others. I love caring for people and I'm excellent at it. I love to cook and clean [?] it gives me great joy in making others comfortable.

I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.

I started being a caregiver when I was 25 years old, I always had a heart for people and helping others. I knew that was the type of work I wanted to do was give back my time and love to ones that need special care. I worked with clients from ages 17-78 some with mental and intellectual disabilities, to working with patients in a mental hospital suffering from depression, drug abuse, rape, self harm, suicidal thoughts and attempts. My favorite moment about working in this field is when I know I have changed someone life and/or made life a little more easier to live in.

I have been in healthcare. For 40 plus years. i've worked in nursing homes hospitals agencies I've worked alongside a hospice to help them out and I've done private care. I've take the certified nurses aide courses. I have worked with multiple sclerosis patients Lou Gehrig's disease patients all time or dementia patients diabetic patients. I have experience with a Hoyer lift. I've been doing this work for over 40 years I'm honest and reliable and dependable.i don't drink or smoke .

Having worked in the healthcare field for over 31 years. Caregiving for 27 years. I have found assisting people to either regain or maintain their health has been rewarding. However my most rewarding has been assisting the elderly as well as physical and or mentally challenged meet their health goals. As our population grows older, and health challenged, I feel the best respect you can give them is to assist them in maintaining as much of their independence as possible. I currently hold an Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration, I'm currently attending school seeking a bachelors of science degree in Professional Studies.

I became a caregiver because I have a passion for caring and helping people. I love meeting new clients helping with activities of daily living. My personal achievement I'm proud of is that I graduated from kaplan career Institute as a medical assistant. I'm easy to get along with and I take my job very seriously. I love to communicate and go out of my way to ensure my clients are happy.

I enjoy giving care and helping my clients. I enjoy taking them places, helping with meds, showering and what ever I can do to make thing easy.

Years ago my father sent my mother and I to go and take good care of her mother, in our own town, which is my Grammar, I like the way she sent me a message, help her to wash dishes and do some shopping's, since that time I make up my mind that if I grow up I will like to take good care of old people my grammar was 120years old. Caregiver is a job to help people that can't help themselves, It need a lot of a patent all the people I do take off like the way I help them with respect and dignity.
