I became a caregiver first and foremost for the flexibility of the the job. When my kids were younger, this career gave me the opportunity to be home with them and work nights. I moved on to becoming an Administrative Assistant for more than 18 years. I was laid off from my job due to the last recession and I jumped back on my skills to continue giving care to the elderly. I called the emergency service and stayed with her at the hospital till the family made alternative arrangement. When she was later discharged, I stayed and cared for her till she passed. I have now become a trusted friend of the family.

After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. I became a caregiver because I love helping elderly and sick people. I'm certified in CPR and First Aid and have ten years of experience working with sick and elderly people. I'm a very clean and passionate person who can perform the following tasks by myself: tube feeding, Hoya lift, bs monitoring, and vs. I can help patients get into bed, eat, and bathe/shower.
