I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I believe that families should be confident knowing they have a great care giver. Care giving comes naturally. Care giving also, comes from the heart.

I took care of my aged father who suffered from stroke for ten years before he died. His high social demand at this time motivated me to be elderly supporter. My father's condition which I assisted motivated me to become a care giver. I do it wholeheartedly and families of passed away clients sometimes adopt me into their family. Most often they call me even when the work is over.

I'm a dedicated person to my work, and I have a gentle and compassionate touch when it comes to caring of anyone needing individual attention and assistance. I became a caregiver because when I was younger I took care of my grandfather, and it turned out to be a good experience for me, so I always thought about doing something related to this field. That's why I took my nursing assistant training program. What I like the most of this job is the feeling I get when I see them happy after I give them a bath and feed them. Give them the things that they like. Also, I'm very concern about their personal cleanliness. For example, shaving, skin care and teeth brushing.
