I am a state Certified Nursing Assistant and Medication Technician with over twenty years of experience in the healthcare field. I have a good attitude and wonderful work ethic and can keep things running smoothly. Employing someone who is always willing to put in the extra effort, can make all the difference in the world. I am a person that can work well for consecutive hours with little or no supervision and still get the job done right. I have experience working in a busy medical environment where every situation required immediate attention. I quickly learned how to handle various medical situations professionally and efficiently using my own knowledge and any available resources. Working as a compassionate healthcare provider has been one of the best accomplishments that I have done in life yet far. I have met so many people that has influenced my life in one way or another and I am a people person and love to be there to do something that will change someone else's life.

I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.

I have successfully completed a training program and state examination at Morning Star Academy-School of Allied Health in Rockville, MD in 2012. Outside of homecare, my hobbies include taking care of my 3 yo son, practicing special effects makeup, painting and drawing. Previously, I worked in long-term care facilities located in Virginia. I have been working in homecare consistently since 2015. My experience in homecare has been rewarding and less stressful.
