I'm a person that likes to help others, I'm someone that is compassionate, quick learner, dependable, and caring. I got in this field because of my great grandmother and grandmother, taking care of them showed me that this is what I wanted to do. To help people, to make them feel good and help them with they daily routine. My goal right now is to finish my studies and become a register nurse.

I decided to become a caregiver about 12 years ago while caring for my 86 year old father. He had several medical issuses some include... COPD, seizures, stoke dementia etc. After his passing i realize how important it was to able to care for those who are unable to care for themselves. I also realize we may all be face with the need of someone to assist us with ADLs, errands and so forth one day. It brings me joy knowing I've helped someone continue to enjoy a quality life despite their limitation. I currently hold a CNA certification I'm a easy-going, compassionate, funloving a little quite at times self motivated and a serious minded female. My passion is to help others make the most out of their life.

I am a person that can work well for consecutive hours with little or no supervision and still get the job done right. I have experience working in a busy medical environment where every situation required immediate attention. I quickly learned how to handle various medical situations professionally and efficiently using my own knowledge and any available resources. Working as a compassionate healthcare provider has been one of the best accomplishments that I have done in life yet far. I have met so many people that has influenced my life in one way or another and I am a people person and love to be there to do something that will change someone else's life.

I was raised by grandparents and that motivated to volunteer and teaching old people to read and write as I wanted them to have the opportunity to understand better it feels good being in control of your life and understanding what's going on so I wanted to give that to old people

I have elderly loved ones, aunts,uncles mother father . Which from time to time have become ill. Needed some assistance in recovery care or long term care, i realize i have a caring heart. I'm able to give a tender touch when assisted with bathing of the body, prepare meals, assistance with in and out of bed. Depending on the different needs of each client. I have always been more mature for my age. I grew up as an only child, only hanging around adults. I have always had a caring personality and when I was 18 after I graduated high school I started working as a CNA at an adult day care, caring for geriatrics with dementia. I fell in love with them. They may not be able to remember your name or their own name but they can tell you stories about their childhood that bring warmth to your heart. I am very good at caring for geriatrics, making them feel comfortable in embarrassing situations for them (bathing, changing soiled linen) because they still deserve dignity and respect which I make sure they know they have the upmost respect. Some geriatric patients have a hard time with caregiving because they have literally give up every ounce of independence they used to have which is hard to cope with. My personality is very smiley and happy around geriatrics which makes them feel better. I also have a very loud voice which is an advantage with geriatrics since most are hard of hearing, they can hear me because I tend to speak loudly. I am an RN however I love being a caregiver too. I am very good at caring for people, making them feel comfortable, I am very easy to talk to and educating on medical information also.

Right from a young age, i always wanted to work with the public to make a positive impact to people's life and that is why i decided to chose a career in health care. I enjoy providing care and treatment to sick people /service users. I pride myself ensuring that those under my care happy and valued.
