I became a caregiver because I did not want to work in main stream Healthcare anymore. My passion is helping seniors the way they and their family's want to be cared for without Healthcare systems making the choices for their care. I worked as a physical therapy assistant for 27 years. The last 8 were in a rehabilitation department at a skilled nursing facility. I have enjoyed the last 9 years doing private home care as a caregiver. Helping individuals live their lives with dignity, safety and loving care.

My name is Connie and my mother's name was Carol. I took care of her until her early death at 53 for 10 years. She had MS. After being in the veterinary field for 20 years, I've gained a level of comfortability with all things clinical and medical. I adore the elderly and have experience with Alzheimer patients and those with dementia. I think I would make a great addition to your family's health care plan and can really make a difference in your loved ones daily life. I'm a happy person and try to bring that to my clients everyday.

I have always enjoyed working with people and have missed that since retiring from nursing a few years ago. I love getting to know people, finding out their interests and hearing their life stories. I am an upbeat and friendly person and find great joy in being of assistance to others in ways that improve their quality of life and happiness. I grew up in a big family and value those special relationships. I realize a lot of people don't have a big family to rely on and I'm here to help fill that need. (I didn't see a place to mention this, but I am also available to help with your pets.)

In 2017 I graduated from nursing school with the intention of helping people be stay healthy and feel their best. I have been a registered nurse for two years now and am hoping to expand my caregiving career. It is my hope to help people maintain their quality of life and independence safely as they age. I enjoy reading, pets, going for walks, running errands and being out of doors.

I have lovingly cared for both of my parents and for a very dear aunt prior to them passing away. I have been caring for my wonderful husband since his severe stroke 22 years ago. Helping ease others' pain and keep them clean, well fed, and comfortable is important to me. Also, I like to ensure that those needing it get appropriate medical care and medication.

I've been an LNA for four years now and I am working towards getting my RN at Great Bay as well. I have a five year old daughter and I am looking for first or third shift during the week so I can still see her when she gets out of school. On the weekends, I am able to work anytime

When I look back on my 15 years of working as a Licensed nurses assistant I like to think about the people that made me who I am, with each senior I helped or assisted I learned something new, I learned about my self as well, I have a lot of compassion for seniors because of my own grandparents who I loved more then life it self.I treat people they way I wanted my own family to be treated. I enjoy home care because you get to know people, seniors love to talk about their life stories and I enjoy listing to them.It was one of the main reasons for me going into home care because I love to hear about the old days of long ago, and I love being around the elderly because they have a lot more to say that what people think, I like being around people who are nice funny and just good people.

It is in my DNA to help. It is what I do best & where I am most content. It is my joy to give others joy in what ever way that is for the individual. I find it a challenge & a blessing to work with a person who may be considered a challenge to work with, & with some good listening skills & some T.L.C. get that person to relax & not be so demanding. A little about me. I have two hobbies that keep me grounded & contribute to my personal & professional life. One is photography, I do mostly nature & wild life, which teaches me patience & being still to listen. Second, refinishing/painting furniture. This allows my creative nature to open & flow, think out side the box. Take something old, dull, maybe not so interesting & bring it back to life , new , bright & fresh. My friends & family call me a very positive, encouraging person. I find the good in most all situations & people. I have joy in my heart & I love to share the love & joy with those around me. I like living.

I have been taking care of people all my life! I started out at 16 years old as a nurses aide and worked my way up to an RN while raising my family. I have experience with children, disabled children and adults, geriatrics and hospice. My belief is the patient/clients needs come first. I am open and honest . I stay calm during a crisis and maintain my patient/clients dignity at all times.
