My name is Amber, I live in Midland with my husband and our dogs! I moved to Midland around 4 years ago and I fell in love with the area. One of my favorite things about being a caregiver is that I am helping someone, in some way. Whether this be cleaning, cooking, helping with personal care or just having a friendly conversation, I know that I am needed and making a difference. I am seasoned female health care worker with 31 yrs of DCW experience from private home care to multiple bed homes for the elderly. I prefer private care because I don't have to divide my time between multiple clients as I feel clients don't get addiquite care (care facilities). It is rewarding for me to give the elderly piece of mind and quality care.

I like to see the look on the person's face when I walk in knowing that I'm there to help them out for the day or just there to sit and talk with them if they need it. Because sometimes that's just what a person needs is some there to talk to. I was attracted to this job because I knew there where people out there that needed the companionship at there own personal residence.

Hello! My name is Erika, sociable, responsible, and most importantly caring. I want to be a caregiver because I love taking care of others, and medicine is what I want to pursue. Though I enjoy the science and learning that goes along my journey, the reason I wake up every morning for this type of work is the people I get to directly interact with. I've been assisting seniors for as long as I can remember, I began as a volunteer when I was 12 years old, I've held various positions in the Healthcare industry, Activity Director, Social Work, Administrator, but I always find myself pulled back to the hands on care, to me there isn't a more rewarding career.

Hi, my name's Kaela. I have enjoyed working with older adults since I turned 16 and started my first job at a retirement community. I'm compassionate, caring, social, and love getting to know new people. As the oldest child, I've always taken on the caregiving role for my little sister and this is what spiked my interest in healthcare. My favorite part about being a nursing assistant is spending one on one time with residents and helping them to feel and look their best. I'm currently a student at Central Michigan University. I have a neuroscience major and am working on a gerontology minor. I hope to attend graduate school to become a physician assistant specializing in hospice or geriatric care. One fun fact about me is that my favorite animal is an elephant. Last summer I volunteered in Thailand for a month at a rural health clinic. While I was there I had the opportunity to swim and hike with "retired elephants" at an elephant sanctuary!
