Everyone needs help from time to time. I like being that for someone, and hopefully making their day nicer, too. It's the little things that make a bad day better. I am not certified, but I have had multiple jobs as a caretaker, skills coach, and mental health aide. I have experience in most skills requested, and am very comfortable performing all care needs. I am open to expanding my skills, and will put in the extra effort and research needed. Ive had training in most everything listed, including lifting, mobility, CPR, and first aid. what attracted me to being a caregiver is talking to and helping the residents you really get to no the person and i think thats what I enjoy the most . As long as the resident is happy thats what makes me proud of myself to see the smiles on the person face.

I'm a caring and empathetic caregiver, I have been a Certified Nurses Assistant for 14 years. I have alot of experience working with the elderly along with alhezhemers and demtia patients. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living and home health care . I enjoy helping people and putting a smile on their face. Also, I enjoy being a support system for family members in their time of need when caring for their loved ones.

I'm always happy, very caring and always smiling. I do have a lot of experience. I enjoy helping others and put all I have into my work. I learn all I can learn to make things enjoyable and better I was raised with it and loved the work I do. I went as high as I could in training, my next step is a RN position. I have always enjoyed caring for people. It is the biggest reason I became a nurse. I have been working and continue to work in an acute care setting where I have gained alot of experience and expanded my skills with high acuity patients. On my unit we can take any adult patient but the majority of the patients we receive are geriatric. I really enjoy taking care of the elderly population. I am very easy going and understanding . I think I bring a calming presence to most patients especially in times they feel most vulnerable.

A few things about me and my role as a caregiver are that I'm friendly, kind, compassionate, understanding, and hard working. For 10 years, I have worked as a caregiver under two professional services, ROI in Michigan and Help-at- Home in Northwest Indiana. The services that I've performed include transportation, personal assistance, physician advocate, medication disbursement, life-skills assistance to people, of all ages, with a variety of physical and mental abilities. Credentials include behavioral, CPR, and First Aid training. I am passionate about caring for those in need giving a helping hand. Knowing I could make a difference in their life and seeing a smile on their face brings joy and purpose to my life! What inspired me to get into caregiving was my Grandma. In the beginning, she just needed help with little things. Then, as time passed she needed all around care. It felt good to help her. I saw a need that I knew I could fulfill, not only for her, but others too. A personal achievement that I am most proud of was becoming an APC (Assistant Program Coordinator). I had applied 2 other times and didnt get the job. I had to build more skills and fight harder for it and the people I loved to help.
