I would describe myself as a respectful, observant, reliable and patient person who provides first-class care. Over the years, I have worked in various roles where the need to work closely with other people, follow strict rules and procedures, and demonstrate understanding and empathy have been required.

I took care of both of my parents. I love being around their wisdom. They think i'm funny and fun to be with. I would rather be around older people. Aways have since I was little. Guess it started in childhood since that's what we had living around us in our neighborhood.! And feel very blessed that its a calling too. I love talking and most of all listening to my clients. I'm very patient and dependable with a Big Heart.!

The reason I became a caregiver is because helping people is my greatest attribute. I'm an outgoing young lady, gifted with the ability to make connections with people. I am easily adaptable to any environment, and I know how to care for, interact with and understand people with physical and mental disabilities. My favorite part about being a caregiver is connecting with my residents. Working in a nursing home has helped me find that each individual has their certain quirks, and routines. And what makes me the happiest is when I learn those routines and witness my residents happiness because of my assistance.

Iam a great caregiver because I am compassionate and like to help people! I like to talk to people and listen to their stories. Being a caregiver is what I like to do and enjoy getting to know new people. I have 3 grown adorable children that are my pride and joy!

When I was young I lived on a dead end street. The only people on the street were seniors. I took it upon myself as a 6 year old child to go visit them. My parents also thought that was "different" for a child of that age. That trait always stayed with me. Seniors are of are our past and present. I have always had the gift for talking and taking care of those who need someone, particularly the older people of our society. When my grandmother was in nursing home. I got a position as a nurses aid so I could be close to her. And thus my love grew even more, if that was possible to take care of people. The thing I love most about being a caregiver is making someone's day and seeing them smile. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is the look on someone's face when I just sit and talk to them about their past.

I'm a good care giver because I treat my clients as if the are family ..... understand when the are in pain they might not be in the best of moods. I try to understand the best I can and help the best I can.

I was a caregiver to a quadriplegic professor when I was in college to help pay for my tuition. After college, I continued doing private care on the side for some Alzheimer patients at a nursing home. In 2004, I enrolled at a nursing school for a year and a half. I did not finish my degree, but I did receive my certification as a CNA and as a Medication Technician. I keep up to date with the newest discoveries and findings in the world of medicine. Even though I have not had any new medical training, I am current on my knowledge of diseases, medications and side effects of such medications. For instance, I am aware that when you care for an Alzheimer's patient, you step into his/her world, and not insist that he/she conforms to your expectations of what is real. I am compassionate and capable. All of the kids are either all grown or almost grown, but I still have this vast need to nurture. My husband refuses to be smothered, so, I need to go out of the house and find someone else who would appreciate being cared for :-) My kids are my biggest accomplishment. The eldest is going to medical school this summer, and the middle one is attending UMKC in August. The youngest one is doing great as a Sophomore while giving out just enough sass to maintain her teenage status.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. One of my personal achievements is to be able to graduate from school, proud of that.

Am a very patient,compassionate,dependable and trustworthy person. My passion of taking care of people and babies led me to this field and i enjoy making someone smile by helping where possible. I enjoy being able to help people get back their health and live comfortably with all the assists and help i can provide. My perspective about life has forever changed since i got into this field because i realize what is important to me in the long run ,family,memories and good relationships and strong support system are key.

I am a mother, and cna full time. I enjoy taking care of other and spending time at work, then at home with my children.
