Honestly, I've always had a giving personality and I like helping people. But I'd love to tell you a story, which really helped me make this decision. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was left alone. Plus, her arthritis was starting to worsen, and she began having more and more trouble preparing her meals, bathing, and getting her groceries. So we found her a caregiver and she was absolutely amazing! She stayed with my grandma for longer hours than expected, while telling stories about growing up in Europe. That was very soothing for my grandma, and that caregiver inspired me to join this field. I really try to get to know my patients. I ask a lot of questions. I ask about their feelings and if they're dealing with weighty emotions, like sadness, anger, or anxiety. I listen as much as possible and tell them they can talk to me about anything without worry. I try building trust, and it's a gradual process, but I do my best to get there.

My name is Inna Golden. I've been doing PCA work for about 4 years now I got certified May, 2022. I plan to go back to school for my LPN the year of 2023 and what makes me happy the most about doing this type of work is me feeling like that it's something that I was called to do. I love helping others. I love spending time with other people. I love getting to learn different ways and learning different ways that I can help others. I'm very dependable, kind hearted, and can adapt very quickly to anything. I hope that you choose to let me love your loved ones.

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that i'm a very patient person and i'm compassionate about everything that I do. I'm humorous ( love being able to put a smile on peoples faces!) Some personality traits of mine i'm always present, detail oriented, and very assertive. Being able to put my heart into everything I do is what really attracted me to becoming a caregiver. I'm a very caring person, its what i love to do. Cherished moments and knowing that i am able to be here to make a difference is what I love the most. A personal achievement that I am very proud of is that I overcome my obstacles by myself.

I've seen most of the women in my family take on caregiving and it came very naturally to me. I put my all into my career and into the families I've helped. I want not only make this a career but a positive lifestyle. I want to be the person a family can depend on during this time of need.

I love and became interested and fell in love being a caregiver because I love helping people. I've once been in the position of having someone care for me, so I understand the importance of being a good caregiver. It has also made me a great caregiver because I saw how the one caring for me provided me with patience, understanding, empathy, and most of all love and that's exactly what I provide my residents with and more. I mostly enjoy just seeing my residents smile and feel loved and cared for.
