I am a kind and compassionate caregiver and enjoy forming a relationship with those I serve. Working as a caregiver and helping others remain in their home and receive the best services possible is my personal goal and that is what I seek to accomplish with my caregiving. My name is Stephani and I am a single mother of three. I have been a teacher/caregiver for 5 1/2 years. Teaching is my passion and I love not only kids but people. It is in my nature to be nurturing, kind and I helpful. I ended up being a caregiver by chance and it just fit from the get go. I think what I have enjoyed most about being a caregiver is knowing that I am making a difference in someone's life and hopefully leaving them with a smile on their face. One thing I am proud of in all of my years of caregiving was my ability to always keep calm and loving in the most difficult situations. I am always willing to help and I always try my best in any situation.

This is super sensitive subject to me but as much as they tell you don't get close to your residents/patients I always seems to grow close to them. Even I left my place of employment the family of each resident reached out and with their permission I would see them until they were no longer with us. I have seen soooo much through my life and have held many hands that are no longer with us and remained contact with their relatives. I love love love our elders so much and any of my references would tell you the same. I adapt quickly and learn quickly. I promise you that you will get one of kind care. It's hard to find that now a days as I was leaving my last job it was more so who could be buddy buddy with the boss that got promoted or got their voice heard. I will always fight for what is right and make sure my resident/patient was heard. Again you will not regret your decision when I am taking care of your loved one. They end my being my loved one. I became a Home Health aide in 2008 when my mother and I decided to move my father out of the rest home and back into our family home. We provided 24 hour care in our home to my father who had suffered a stroke and was in a wheel chair for over 3 years. Since his passing I have worked for several other clients requiring many different levels of care in all stages of living. Letters of reference are available upon request.

I have been working with the elderly for one year and four months now. I went to an assisted living facility to volunteer and ended up applying for a job instead. I have never had a more rewarding job! I love taking care of those who aren't able to take care of themselves. They lived a full life with ups and downs just like all of us, and I still feel they deserve to experience more ups in their last stages of life. I start my CNA training in April and I am beyond excited! I love to make people smile/laugh and feel comfortable in their own home.
