I started taking care of my grandmother at the young age of 8, from then on I decided to be a caregiver because it is a rewarding experience to see the smile on any elderly face. I am very dependable, trustworthy, and put in 110% in care-giving. Personal achievement are getting my certification in home health aide and nursing assistant, my next achievement is going to school to receive my nursing degree.

Became a caregiver to care for my Father in Law, Hospice trained me and he originally stayed in my home 5 months before passing at 92 years old. Since that time I've stayed with individuals and couples in different settings with different medical conditions. I am empathetic , happy Christian woman; enjoy helping others-giving. Very sociable, dependable and caring. Love reading & cooking, If I can make a difference in the life of a loved one, then I have fullfilled my job duties:))

I worked 25 years in the Rutherford County School System as a Custodian and a Lunchroom Worker. I learned many skills in my years working there. How to be a team player was one of the many skills I learned. My references included 3 Principal's that I worked for.

I have been a CNA for 13.5 years . I'm a single mommy of 4 children, Ages 22,18,17,9 I have had private family experience for at least 6 years , i have also worked in facilities 2 years ,as well as Home care 10 + years i prefer home care because i can focused on that one specific patient one at a time . I am willing to help with any daily needs ,errands such as medicine pick ups ,grocery store runs ,household supplies etc. I am Hoping to further my career in nursing in the next month or so . I am a retired school teacher with 22 years experience and Class A certifications in all subjects(grades 4 to 8); with 20 plus years teaching science and health. In addition, I have a degree in Radiology Technology with over 20 years of experience in hospitals, managed a medical office and responsible for patient care. I am seeking a position as a caregiver, companion/assistant. I would also be available as a caretaker for a private property. My personal experiences in care giving include: 3 years caring for my mother until her death, 2 years caring for a friend until her death, and 9 months care giving for a friend until her death. My qualifications include: well-educated, medical experience over 20 plus years (classes taken for CNA), good listener, very organized and good at organization, attention to details, knowledge of nutrition and health issues. I have excellent references, sent upon request. I am available for part-time work of approximately 20 hours per week: however I am not able to work week-ends because I have to care for my elderly father. In the case of a job as a property caretaker I would be more available due to this type of postion. Due to my educational and medical experiences, I work very well with others and patient.

I have been a caregiver since I was in my youth by taking care of my paternal grandmother and all her needs. Then I took care of my maternal grandmother on and off for about 25 yrs. I took care of my late husband who had cancer for 7 yrs and then my father who had dementia after a stroke for about 7 yrs between my sister and I. This was not a fulltime 24/7 situation but took up a lot of time out of my day. Then I took care of my newborn grandson for 2 years as my daughter was not well. After that my mom had several surgerys and had radiation. I have been staying with a 90 yr old woman who is an old friend here in Forest City but she has new help now. I guess it is in my genes to do this. I gives me satisfaction to know that I have helped someone to stay as independent as possible while helping them through their day. I want to get my CNA license so I can stay in this career. As for a personal achievement I am proud of is that I worked for a motivational speaker who spoke about positive thinking and follow your dreams and he taught me a lot about life and how to enjoy every moment. I look forward to each caregiving position that comes my way and doing my best to make a difference in that persons life. I am able to travel up to an hour one way for any position as that is the time I listen to music and tapes in my car.
