I've been doing this for 29 years and I love it! I specialize In memory care however with that said I can do a lot: Skilled, rehab, quads, tub feedings ,ranger of motion , I can use both the hover and seat to stand lifts. In the beginning I wanted to go to the navy and then become a Marine biologist but I am flat footed and that stopped that and everyone in my family on my mom side is in nursing. Different levels and titles. So I gave it a shot and found I love it. They call me a lifer cuz I've been doing it for 29 years, but I enjoy it, I feel like I'm hangin with friends. The stories they tell are sad, happy, amazing...

Over the last 12 years I have gained, so much knowledge in life and in the caregiving world. I am task oriented and like to keep things tidy. I care for the health of my clients and will question when I feel something is off. I love hearing the stories of the lives of my client see their pictures and ask for their beloved memories. I am a mother and stepmother to five great kids in ages ranging 20-6. I first became a caregiver in my very early 20's and fell in love with giving real care. Not the kind of care you see in facilities, the honest to goodness care you would give your own Nana. I personally strive to never let my clients feel unloved or made to feel less than human. I want my clients to feel dignified and bright every time I leave!

I have been a licensed nurse for the past 13 years. I am currently licensed in WI and I am working on getting my license here in Oregon. Unfortunately this is going to take a little bit longer than I was hoping it would. I have not worked as a nurse since 2014. I took some time off to work with my husband as a over the road truck driver. I am longing to get back into nursing. I am a kind, loving and caring person. I have always worked geriatrics and miss working with the elderly.

Hello, my name is Cherokee I'm 25 years old and love my job. I got my start under my mothers company at 15 as a house keeper for the elderly. One of my favorite things about the cleaning job was getting to meet seniors in my community, because I love all the story's and history they have to share. When I graduated from Cottage Grove High I had a plain to get into heath care, so that's what I did. Not just for seniors but also people with disability's, and I will tell you what I love what I do, and do what I love. I'm good at my job and don't believe in doing anything half way. I pay attention to small details and whole picture too. I'm fun loving and always have a smile on my face and a light in my eyes.
