Hello everyone my name is Rissaun Mcknight and I prefer to be called Saun. I truly enjoy helping people, my day isn't complete unless I can put a smile on someone's face. Im easy going and VERY easy to communicate with. I've been a caregiver for 8years, my father was in a bad accident back in 2010. So even before I started working I've been helping take care of him since I can remember.

I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I'm a very patient person that enjoys caring for others. I enjoy helping with housework and cooking. I've worked with some very difficult patients and have been able to build trust. Can work different shifts depending on need. I really enjoy helping people stay in there home as long as possible.

I have a kind way about myself I guess you can say. I am considered the go to aide, if a resident is upset and needs an understanding ear to listen to them. A lot of times my residents feel like they control nothing in their lives anymore, and I try to help them still feel important with a purpose. I let them do for themselves what they can, and help them with things they need help with. Almost my whole life I wanted to takes care of people in some way shape or form. My Grandma used to call me her little nurse for the age of around 5. I loved helping her and taking care of her. Now when I take care of people, I remember my Grandma calling me her little nurse, and it makes me very happy. I truly love helping elderly people. They helped raise us all, and take care us. Now its my turn, to help them and take care of them if they need the help

I love being a caregiver and a cna because I like making differences in peoples lives and being able to help anyone is a great feeling and accomplishment to me

I am a trustworthy, flexible, compassionate person. I am interested in helping others and always put others well being in front of mine. I have always wanted to do something in the medical field so that is why I am interested in working with the elderly. I have almost two years experience working as a Personal Care Aid.

My name is Hanna Besterman. I have so much respect and love towards older generation. When I was young my Polish grandma was my mentor, idol and love of my life. It was my honor that last 5 years of her life I could take care of her and make her comfortable in my apartment in Poland. I always felt connected to older generation. I deeply believe with my whole heart that they deserve our patience, our dedication and our best care with compassion, love and and always with smile ... and optimism. My passion thruout my entire life was and still is helping and supporting the most vulnerable individuals. My professional background is speech pathologist. For more then 20 years I have worked with individuals who suffered from aphasia, memory lost, mental health problems, blindness, vision impairments, , intellectual and physical disabilities. I am very proud of helping my patients to be able to improve their quality of life and be part of the community. Top of that I have a lots of energy and much love in me,to give to elderly person.
