I am a mother of four boys ages 2-19 whom I adore! I have a nonverbal 2 year old that I care for as well as being one of the caregivers for my Aunt in the past. I love the joy that you get from making sure that your loved ones are taken care of properly. Being a Dental Assistant I care for people of all ages while they are in my care at the office and I get the highest praise from my patients! I realized while taking care of my mother through her batter with cancer, whilst solely raising a young child that helping people is what I do best. My experience with various clients and conditions has shown me that I have the best temperament to deal with any situation. I also find that I'm the happiest when I'm taking care of someone else. I have a diverse background from construction to manufacturing. But, I am only ever satisfied when I'm helping make someone else's life easier. I became a caregiver because I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was younger. Also, my best friend/sister-in-law became very ill at an early age and I had wanted to take care of her but never got the chance as she passed away at age 44. My mom also became ill shortly thereafter and I promised that she would never go to a nursing home. My intention was to care for her in my home, but unfortunately she never made it home from the hospital. I vowed that if I could not help my own family then I would help someone else. I love being able to help people stay in their homes as long as possible and having the family reassured that their loved ones are being cared for in their absence. My personal achievements that I am proud of are being with two of my clients until the end of their life and knowing that I made things a bit easier for their families. As for myself, I am the mother of four sons and grew up with five older brothers.
