I graduated college in 2013. I have been in healthcare for over 20 years what got me started in 1992 when my son was born with a disability. I knew a little while after he was born that i had a love for caring for people. After being a home health aid for a year i knew i wanted to expand my horizon's so i did. I became a certified nursing assistant working with the elderly in 2007. I love what i do have accomplished everything i needed to as far as my career is concerned but the love i have for doing what i do will go on. For ever

I am a natural nurturing person. I I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a nurse or a doctor. I had a grandmother that suffered from Alzheimer's disease for 13 years. Majority of the time that she was sick I cared for her. I always knew I needed to get into the health field because I saw how important it is to have a support system. When you have someone in your family who can no longer take care of themselves it seems to have a ripple effect with everyone surrounding them. At some point we could no longer take care of my grandmother in the house so we had to hire a home health aide and in doing so I really grew to appreciate the nature of the job. You become an extended family member you grow great bonds with your clients or patients and their familes. I love being an aide.

Taking care of people in need is something that strikes my heart so much which is why I love what I do! My favorite part about being a caregiver is seeing my client/resident/patient improve as time goes on. I absolutely love getting to know them and every story they want to tell me about their younger years! Being able to communicate with families to make sure the care i'm providing is more than enough is the most important part of my job!

I became a care giver because I love working with people especially the elderly. I love taking care of the elderly and I love the companionship. They have so many stories to tell and they still have so much to offer. They have sent their lives taking care of people and it's time for someone to care for them. My greatest personal achievement is obtaining my CNA license. It is the first thing I have started and finished since high school. Also, being a mother is another thing that is important to me. I am a mother of 2 lovely children I am 31 years old. I work at the Abbeville Nursing Home.

Hello my name is Sabrina! I graduated in 2015 from Ninety Six High School and soon after completed my CNA training through Piedmont Technical College. I have two children and a husband. I have worked for many patients with a large variety of disability's. I make sure all of my patients receive the best care possible!

I made the decision to help others after helping my grandparents and great grandmother all through out my life. Seeing all of them being surrounded with a supportive family during their final years was truly a blessing, but sadly, not everyone is as lucky to have the constant care they did. I understand that a busy life can get in the way of helping out our loved ones, and I'd love to help them and provide company whenever I can. I love being able to help others and have often been complimented on my patience and understanding with those who need it. In her finally years, I helped my great grandmother with many activities, mostly with household chores and personal company (she was in her 90s whenever I was helping her.) I have been exposed to and helped people with memory issues, cancer, diabetes, etc. I am use to preparing food and reminding others to eat and to take their medication . I have much personal experience in this area and have no problem treating others with respect as I would want to be treated the same way. :)
