I have always had great compassion for those who are sick, the elderly, and disabled. I began my caregiving by volunteering for Hospice for seven years. CNAs happily taught me how to do bed baths, empty urinals, and even how to change bed linens with patient still in bed. I am comfortable, and have experience in just about all facets of caregiving, which includes personal hygiene, including bathing, feeding, safely transferring patient from bed to chair, etc. I am comfortable using a Hoyer lift, and have changed and sanitized urine bags. Upon moving to a new city I began doing home caregiving as a way of paying my bills, and family recommendations kept me busy. I have enjoyed caring for the ELDERY with all kinds of medical problems, and DISABLED people, as well. In addition to passing the background check required for this site, I have a LEVEL II BACKGROUND CHECK which is far deeper than this site requires. I have taken and passed the HHA test, although I did not take the class. I am CPR certified, have had a two step TB test, I presently work for a local caregiving agency, but they are unable to provide me with enough hours, so I am eager to get full time hours! I have many references I can give if you are interested in knowing more. I prefer days, but I am open for any schedule.

Best traits that I have in being a great caregiver are Patience. Those who provide home care to others need to be patient. Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. Compassion, When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Attentiveness, I think It is important when providing home care that the caregiver is attentive to the needs and changes that are taking place. By being attentive, the caregiver, will notice when there are emotional or physical changes in the person he or she is caring for. Dependability, I feel as though those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that a caregiver be dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. Last but not least Trustworthiness, Caregivers are often in a position that will allow them to have access to the belongings of the person they are caring for. It is crucial that the caregiver be someone who is trustworthy and will not breach that trust by taking advantage of the person her or she is caring for. I enjoy doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I take pride in my attention to detail.
Skills & Certifications: COPD, Cancer Recovery, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Hospice Care, Cardiovascular Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Stroke, Skin Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders, Hearing Disorders, Home Health Care, Diabetes, Dementia, Depression, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease

A good caregiver is someone who is trustworthy in this regard, as well as in being trusted to keep the client's information confidential. It is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, caregivers will let the person know that they care about them and want to do what they can to help. The most I enjoying about caregiving is begin there to actually help someone feel independent and give them that urge to get thrm back feeling independent again. The personal achievement I'm proud of it begin able to go to go back to nursing school

I am a good person and I spend a lot of time doing things for other people especially the elder. I took care of my father when he had lung cancer and my mother when she had a stroke. I could always fix their food the way that they liked it when they wouldn't eat for anyone else. I love to do special things for the elder or sick. They seem to love the time and the attention that I give them .And most of all I love and enjoy making them smile. I am a loving person and I spend a lot of time doing things for the sick and the elderly.
