Hi, My name is Shannon Leviner, I have been working in healthcare for 20 plus years, I love taking care of the elderly , taking care of my grandmother made want to help others, she was a sweet sole. I love and enjoy taking care of people, whatever their needs may be assisting with daily activities of daily living, meal prep, light house keeping, or just sitting and talking , just keeping them company. I'm just happy loving and caring for my patients, seeing them smile when I walk in the room, hearing them tell me, they will miss me when i'm not there, until ,i get to see them again, but they can always call me, anytime.

I am Jodi Segars, 29 years old and just moved to Florence, SC in February. I have been working with the elderly for 9 years now. My whole family including my mother, aunt, sister, and sister in law all work in the healthcare field. I feel that honesty, trust, patience, caring are all personality traits it takes to be a great caregiver. Growing up I was always with my grandparents, always wanting to help my mom take care of others. I put others before myself. The most I enjoy about being a caregiver is the one on one time I get to spend with the client, get to know them, their likes and dislikes, try to let them be independent as possible. At the end of the day, knowing that I have helped someone in every way I can and cared for them and did my best I can gets me through each and everyday. I became a caregiver, when my mother became very ill. I decieded to stop working with my employer to take of my mother. I new everything about her and her needs. I new what it takes to care for her and I could spend all the time in the world with her. My mother was very important to me and my siblings and I couldn't trust anyone at the time of her sickness. I thought it would be hard and tiresome but it wasn't. We became more closer. She shared a lot of important things with me that I never knew about. I was glad to able to be in good health to take care of my mother who is so important to me and my siblings. I'm a proud daughter to know I was able to be there when she needed me and I was a shoulder she could lean on and a ear to listen to all the things she wanted to say, my mother was the best thing that ever happen to me. She was always there when we needed her. She cried when we cried, she hurt when we hurt, she was my only best friend and now she past away I truly miss her. I wish I can turn back the hands of time just to spend a little more time with her. She taught me everything I needed to know about life and how to appreciate the things we go through. She was the best of all mothers. So that's why I love working as a caregiver, it helps you help others go through their situation a little bit better, and give them comfort when they don't have anyone else to talk too. I give them hope of relief, my mother taught and showed me that. I love helping people who can't hel
