I want to become a caregiver, because I love helping people putting a smile on their faces. Last year my father had a stroke. I took care of him. Washing his clothes, make sure he took his medication. Take him what every he need to go. I'll cook for him. Made sure he had a smile on his face. That's why I enjoyed helping him.. I'm fun outgoing person, nice and always respectful. Do what I am told. Do everything to my best abilities..

I kinda always was a caregiver and didn't know it. Both of my parents worked and I was much older than my step brother and sister, so I did all the house work and taking care of them from an early age. I also grew up with my aunt who was a spastic quadriplegic, so I learned how to do a lot there. I have had many patients, most were the ones everyone else had bad trouble with. I'm kinda the guy, that I can handle pretty much anything from full Dementia, to full quadriplegic. I have my state license in CNA, ACNA, and Phlebotomy. I have excellent experience and very good references. The last question that I am proud of is: My mother was passing in the hospital and couldn't have her placed in a home. So I brought her home with me and kept her alive for another month before she passed away with me. At the end she had full blown dementia, it was quite an ordeal to go through. So with that experience it has taught me a lot of what other families could be going through.

Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in patient shoes, and identify and ease the patients fears and discomfort. Having passion for what I do allows me to be the best caregiver that I can possibly be. I love my job. I genuinely care for my patients and people who are in need. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my job performance ultimately, to make the lives of each patient the best it can possibly be. Having traits such as honesty and trustworthiness are are indispensable qualities everyone should have. Especially when in the homes of others. There will be many hurdles along the way when caring for different patients. Having patience's and being flexible will allow me plenty of opportunities in the field of nursing.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people and I love seeing people with smiles on there faces. I had a consumer that was severally disable and everyone shun her and her family really didn't really take no time with her. I help her overcome some of the obstacles that was in her way and taught how to work this new computer system for kids that are mute and can't grab or grasp and I worked with her and she learned it and was one of the top in her class. I love showing people no matter whatt situation you are in its nothing that you can't accomplish.

I am a very outgoing, easy to get along with and laid back person. I have been a CNA for 25 years and hold current certifications in 8 states including North Carolina, Virginia, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Massachusetts and Maine. I love what i do and the beat part of the job ( if you can call it that), is the rewards of thanks that I get from my residents and or the family members. It could be something as simple as washing someone's hair and having a family member say thank you. To me it's a very rewarding job.

I have always loved helping people no matter who they are.I have worked with all kinds withall types of problems.I feel no matter who you are all everyone needs is love and respect.I am proud of who I am as an indivual.I can honestly say I have always tried to help anyone if I am able at the time.I am not a pushover though.I am a hard worker and dependable.I have worked with Adults and juveniles in the prison/detention center that tell me they like me because I treat them like people and don't mistreat them due to their crime.I want to take some CNA classes in the future to be able to help others more. When my job closed down my husband said I could stay home but this is not me.I have always worked and I still want to by helping others.I feel with my job experience I have always been a caregiver.
