Hi, My name is Margie. I am a middle age adult and grandmother of two beautiful girls. Just a little more about myself, I started caregiving when I was about 7 years old with my grandmother who was a nurturer within our community. We would attend to the elderly or the sick when needed, and my duties were to assist with ADL's, cleaning (as much as I could have done) or just getting them something to drink with their medication, inwhich were always appreciated by them. I knew then that helping someone in need would become a career. I became a Nursing Assistant in 1988 and Certified in 2004. I have mainly worked with homehealth and hospices agencies, however, these roles has taken me into skilled nursing homes as well as retirement homes. I am also experienced with working with Mental health patients and the Disability & Special Needs. I have experience with working with Alcohol & Abuse clients and I have worked with veterans. I am thoroughly comfortable with a variety of different clientele such as dementia and alzheimers clients and offers them the very best services possible. I've been in healthcare for over 10 years working in different settings from Rehabilitation, Nursing homes, Chiropractic care to individuals with disabilities. My roommate in College has Cerebral palsy so I helped her daily with your needs. I'm very familiar with many other disabilities as well. I am happily married now just wanting to offer help for others. I understand completely wanting to meet me first before so you can decide if I would be a good fit. That's no problem at all. I have recently submitted a back ground check so I can show proof of my clean history. I genuinely love people and helping others is my passion in life. I have worked as a Medical Assistant for agencies in the past however I find this way allows the family to choose who they feel most comfortable around. I am a nurturer by nature. I get a sense of fulfillment when caring for others. One trait that sets me aside would be my ability to meet each individual client where they are in their current state, remembering no two are the same. After working inpatient transportation within a hospital for years, I saw there was a greater need for me at the bedside. I always seem to be able to connect with the patients and that is what prompt me to go to school and become a CNA. Becoming a certified nursing assistant was one of my greatest accomplishments. It is a career I enjoy, I am never bored and I always feel there will be a need for me.

When you work with someone who needs home care it is important that you are patient and understanding. I've always been in the service of helping people. I currently serve in the Air Force Reserves as a medical assistant and work as an EMT for Fairfield County. In the past, I have been a Nanny to children. I have cared for babies all the way to elders and have enjoyed every minute of it.
