I have been an LPN for 30 years.I worked for approximately 25 years in long term care with geriatrics.I chose geriatrics after being a caregiver for my grandmother who was diagnosed with dementia.After 25 years in long term care I transitioned to hospice care for the last 5 years.I continue to work with hospice prn and I am looking to work with patients to provide in home care.During my nursing career I specialized in wound care.I am a caregiver from the heart and will provide excellent care to those that I serve.

I care about people and I treat people the way I would like to be treated...I decided to become a caregiver after my grandmother on my mom mother pass I didn't like the way she was treated in the hospital alot of the nurses was uncaring....helping people and to let them know that there is someone that does care ...is seeing a smile on my patient face and knowing that I have done my best to make them happy.....

I'm 44 and have a disabled wife that has really help make caring for others something I enjoy. I have a daughter that's 9 also disabled and I'm hoping to provide care for your loved ones The same way I have with my family compassion goes a long way!

Communication is key, along with encouragement, patience, and creative problem-solving skills. Growing up as a child, I helped my grandmother with her medical needs and that is what inspired me to get in the medical field. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. I have wonderful relationships with my clients. While I am doing their ironing or washing the floor, we're laughing and chatting. They enjoy telling me their stories, sometimes from years ago and I get pleasure from listening to them. Personal achievements that I am proud of are having an associates and bachelors degree in the medical sciences field.

I have been in the country since 2003 doing other jobs until I found this job in 2012 till present. I have a lot of things to say about working this job. And testimony I have. Truly enjoyed getting to know a great people some even end up being my personal friends. I sometimes get a call and can not remember but they call to check on me and tell me how sweet I was. You get to know what I mean when we get started. Am always encouraging.
