I am an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with more than two decades of experience in the healthcare professions as both a Registered Nurse in Colombia and a Certified Nurse Assistant in the United States. In my most recent job, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant who provided outstanding healthcare services to residents at Heartis of Waco Assisted Living and Memory Care. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, I worked for more than 8 years as a surgical room nurse in a cosmetic surgery clinic in my native country of Colombia. I am a very positive, responsible and just overall caring person. I believe every human being deserves love and compassion. I enjoy life and just want to share joy with everyone around me. These traits definitely help me in being a great caregiver. I was able to learn this about myself when I worked in a hospital setting. As a patient transporter, we would see as many as 50 new patients every day. This helped me learn a lot about humans in general but also about the struggles and passion that we all share. The passion is what attracts me to being a caregiver, especially for the elderly. They need more help than most people around us. I thoroughly enjoy the smiles and appreciation that someone exudes when you help them without judgement.
