Experience caregiver having over 10 years working with various clients. I guess you could say my life could be encapsulated in four simple words faith, family, friends, and helping others! I have worked in Home Health both in nursing homes as well as memory care facilities for over 10 years. I love helping people, I also feel that in some ways this is my ministry even though it is my part-time job. I have experience in memory care, ADL's, transfer assist, gait training, lighthouse keeping, meal prep, companionship, and bathing and grooming, I have dependable transportation and arrive to work on time and don't miss days unless I am ill. I am normally very healthy, and I insist on cleanliness and am constantly washing my hands. I would like to think I am extremely cautious in keeping both myself safe as well as you. I've had extensive training in HIPAA and sanitation. After retiring from Health and Human Services caregiving became my passion. I'm a very conscientious and hard worker and yet I still remain cheerful throughout the day. I also am a Certified Activities Director so I feel like I bring a little more than just caregiving. I believe that seniors need daily activities to stay happy and healthy and if possible to be a part of their day-to-day activities and have a purpose. If the senior is capable and able to water plants or assist with meal prep I encourage that. I enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives. I received certification in excellence training in Dimentia and Alzheimers. Comforting people and making them laugh/smile is one of my strengths. When I care for people I feel like I have done a good deed and I'm doing what I was put on this Earth to do. A personal achievement I am proud of is getting the proper training and experience I need in the medical field to successfully share my gift with others.

I became a caregiver back in 2016 when I found out my grandpa had severe cancer and had a year to live I was his caregiver and also worked as an caregiver one of the main reasons I became a caregiver was because I loved helping the elderly feel loved and noticeable in there last days I always made my job fun for any of my clients.

What makes me a great caregiver it's my empathy and kind with others, they need to be treat with dignity, respect and compassion. I became a caregiver cause since I was little my mom had to take care of my grandmother which she had Alzheimer, and I enjoyed soo much and learned since them to be patience and understand how the circle of life is and that we all going to walk that way one day. What I like the most about been a caregiver it is that I know that I'm doing my best to give them the quality of life that they deserve. My greatest accomplishment occurred when I had the chance to work and help the Alzheimer group.

I enjoy making my patients happy and content. I am a happy and bless person. I love knowing that my patients/ clients are pleased with me for being there and helping them, to be comfortable in their own home or some other entity. That is what makes me happy.It's blessing to me, knowing that I was able to make someone else feel good about themselves. Also helping them to be safe at their own home. When I see a smile on my client face, I know that I have made someone' day, that is my personal achievement.

The personality traits I have are that I am determined, enthusiastic, reliable, honest, encourageable, helpful, resilient, playful, caring, and genuine about what I do and who I am as a person. What attracted me about being a caregiver is the fact that I can be a huge benefit in someone else. I hope and pray that I will always be known as the person that everyone can come to or rely on in times of need. Being a Care Giver gives me great joy and pleasure to be of assistance in someone's every day necessities in their life. I love what I do and the roll I play. A few personal achievements I am proud if, first and foremost are my amazing children, then the fact that I am currently in the US Army and in a combat MOS as a woman, also that I am able to provide for my family and uphold my duty to my country all in one.
