I believe in treating others how you would like to be treated or how you want your grand parents treated. I love the care in the elder. I have so much patience that is truly needed. My grandfather took sick and he got treated so horribly in a Care home I decided to take care of him myself until his heavenly call. I feel in love with the thought same care needed from the elder and those who could not care for themselves.

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated professional with more than two decades of experience in the healthcare professions as both a Registered Nurse in Colombia and a Certified Nurse Assistant in the United States. In my most recent job, I worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant who provided outstanding healthcare services to residents at Heartis of Waco Assisted Living and Memory Care. Prior to moving to the United States in 2008, I worked for more than 8 years as a surgical room nurse in a cosmetic surgery clinic in my native country of Colombia. Additionally, I possess strong attention to detail and am able to keep accurate and concise written service records. My interpersonal and communication skills are outstanding: I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in English, and I am adept at helping people to open up and to feel at ease. Patients have told me on many occasions that they feel comfortable talking to me about some of their deepest personal matters and feel confident that I will provide assistance to them without judgment. I am a very outgoing and caring person, i will always put others needs above my own and i believe that is the biggest trait that helps me be an amazing caregiver. Helping others is my passion and i feel that for me, you must establish an amazing connection to the people you are caring for, you must treat them as a human and not just a job. Treat others how you wish to be treated is something i have always lived by. I absolutely love having a connection with my patients and doing what i can to make them comfortable and happy.

Honesty, patience & being dependable are very important when working with the elderly. I like working with people, especially one on one and giving them all the attention they need/want. Being a caregiver has been challenging at times but it has also been rewarding to the fact I've been more appreciative in a job I very much love. About Me, I have been a caregiver for over 15 years, first in a nursing home in my home town of Hillsboro, TX.. I worked as a CNA and also the Business Office for 10 years in the same facility. Then I tried Hospice care for about a year. Then I was a private sitter for a year and a half to an eldery woman. I have a passion for taking care of others who need it! And will take care of my patients to the best of my ability.

As a caregiver my main role is to provide excellent care to patients, as well as to assist with their daily activities, most of all to be compassionate in helping others.
