Hello my name is Rachel. I recently just moved to the Knoxville area from Sarasota Florida. I've been a caregiver for 10 years. I love being a caregiver and helping bring happiness to someone's life. I can help with transporting to Doctors, cooking, laundry, bathing, exercising, light house cleaning, companionship, I know how to use a Hoyer lift. When my mother and grandmother got sick, I took care of them at home until they passed away. I'm a patient, compassionate, caring person and I like helping people. I have extensive experience caring for seniors and I am passionate about taking care of others. I cared for my blind, 80-years-old mother-in –law in Mongolia for 3 months in 2012. In addition to be a blind she has diabetes, high blood pressure and problem with walking. She had a lot of needs in her daily life but it was my pleasure to care for her because I deeply love her. From April to June 2013, I took care of woman who had a car accident in the USA. She was bedridden for three weeks and used a wheelchair afterwards. I helped her take her medications, took care of her hygiene needs, did her laundry, dressed her, cooked and helped her eat, took her out for walks and took care of her other needs until her condition improved. For about 8 months from July 2013 to March 2014, I worked as a caregiver to an 81- year-old lady. She had numerous health issues, including high blood pressure, glaucoma and diabetes. On a daily basis, I took her out for walks, cooked for her, and maintained her home in a good condition. I read to her, became a close friend and helped her stop feeling lonely. I applied her makeup, did her hair, dressed her, bathed her and helped her take her medicines always on time. I am spiritual, positive person and enjoy meditation. I love children, elderly, pets and nature. I personally feel fulfilled when I help others and care for them.
