My name is Wendy and I love being a CNA. I first began at home at the age of 18 taking care of my grandfather. I have over 15yrs of experience in short- term and long-term care. I also have 12yrs of Alzheimer's and autism care experience. I get the job done.

I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. What makes me a great caregiver ?? I started out as doing this job because I wanted to learn how to take care of my aunt , I ended up enjoying helping people so it became a job I wanted to do . I plan to become a RN and this was just a foot in the door but I'm glad I did it .
