I have been a caregiver for 15yrs. I started off caring for my parents as they aged and then went on to work for an agency for a few years before I decided that I wanted to go on my own. My family took care of the elderly when I was younger watching them made me feel happy to see them smile I have always wanted to be a nurse I am currently a cna I did the training I absolutely love the elderly I love listening and watching them grow I would not want to be anywhere else in life except with them that was my greatest accomplishment was becoming a cna!!

I absolutely love the elderly I always feel a conetion with the people I am caring for and it's always been my dream sense a child to care for older people what attracted me is the face the people you care for are sometimes helpless and can't help themselves and to see the way some staff treat people makes me upset because these people need to be shown respect also I enjoy spending time with my residents giving them someone to talk to also caring for them and just being there for them I'm proud of the fact I took my cna and passed clinicals part but I'm still struggling with the online portion ....
