I became a caregiver at 15 years old working as a nurse's aide in Roseland Community Hospital in Chicago Illinois. I instantly fell in love with taking care of people, my grandmother got sick when I was 18 and I moved in with her to take care of her .I worked in nursing homes taking care of people, and more than once I was told that God sent me to take care of them, which made me feel really good and made me feel like I was doing what I was put here to do I later became a EMT which I love doing until I hurt my back and could no longer do that anymore so that's when I became a caregiver which I enjoy doing and it makes me feel like I'm doing something good in the world. The thing that stuck with me the most from school is something that my instructor told me and that was always treat a patient as you would want someone to treat your loved one.
