I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY I BECAME A CAREGIVER I JUST KNOW WHEN I WAS 19 I BECAME A CNA I JUST ENJOYED IT AND DECIDED I WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS AS A JOB BECAUSE IT HELPS PEOPLE AND IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD KNOWING I MADE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONES LIFE BY ASSISTING THEM WHEN THEY NEEDED IT MOST . I LIKE BEING A CAREGIVER BECAUSE IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I'VE HELPED SOMEONE WHEN THERE LOVED ONES CAN'T I CAN BE THERE FOR THEM AND I TREAT THEM JUST LIKE FAMILY .I'M EASY GOING ,PATIENT WITH THEM , AND HAVE 20 YEARS EXP. IN THIS LINE OF WORK.MY ACHIEVEMENTS WELL BEING ABLE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONES LIFE WHEN THEY NEED IT AND HELPING FAMILY MEMBERS THROUGH THE TOUGH TIMES WHEN THEY CAN'T DO IT IS ALL I CAN SAY I'VE DONE. I STARTED WORKING IN THE NURSING HOMES THEN I MOVED ON TO HOME HEALTH AND SOME COMMUNITY CARE WORK FOR THE ELDERLY ALSO I'VE WORKED WITH YOUNGER DISABLED PEOPLE TOO. I'VE HAD CLIENTS IN HOME HEALTH GET DISCHARGED FROM THE COMPANY AND STILL THEY FELT MORE SAFE IF I WAS THERE TO ASSIST WITH THERE BATH SO THEY WOULD PAY ME TO KEEP COMING AS LONG AS I COULD . I'M DIVORCED AND HAVE 4 KIDS ALL GROWN EXCEPT MY BABY SHE'S 14 AND I HAVE A 5 YR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER. I'M 42 YRS OLD AND PEOPLE USUALLY THINK I'M YOUNGER WHICH IS FINE WITH ME BUT I'M JUST YOUNG AT HEART I GUESS .MY KIDS SAY I DON'T ACT MY AGE SOMETIMES BUT THATS WHAT KEEPS ME GOING I'VE ALWAYS HEARD YOUR ONLY AS OLD AS U FEEL AND I DON'T FEEL OLD YET BUT SOON ENOUGH I WILL BE.
