Hello, my name is Shonquilnet Rockmore and I'm 35 years old. I am from Memphis, TN. I have been working as a care companion since 2008 and my job duties include but are not limited to: grooming, light cleaning, errands, accompanying clients to doctor appointments, cooking, medication reminder, exercise, and arts and crafts. I became a care companion because I absolutely love caring for individuals that are unable to care for themselves or individuals just seeking occasional companionship. What I love most about my job is providing companionship. I'm a graduate of Colorado Technical University with an Associates of Applied Science Degree in Health Administration Services. I take my job seriously and go above and beyond to ensure my clients and their families are satisfied with the services in which I provide. What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a big heart. I am willing to help others and care for them. Not only am I doing my job, but I create a bond with my clients, it is more than just a job. Being there to comfort them and hands-on when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up I watched my grandfather need the help. I enjoyed being there for him to the point where he felt comfortable enough to be in the state he was in. The most exciting part of being a caregiver is creating that bond with my clients to the point where they want me to come back. It is not always about being there for just the job and them needing help , I like being open to them and more like a friend then an employee. I am proud of helping others. I know that with my ability to be there for others good things will come upon me.
