I began my career as a caregiver taking care of my brother in law who was dying of cancer. After he passed I came back home and applied for caregiving positions here in San Diego. I find caregiving rewarding because of what I do for a client it allows them to be able to stay in their homes and enjoy their life. Clients thrive if they are allowed to live at home. I have experience with working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson disease and stroke and cancer patients. I personally find it very rewarding and am proud of what I do. My best personal achievement was preventing a client from having to be put into assisted living because I was able to convince the family to hire me. I worked 30 years in Telecommunications field and have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. Due to the recession I was unable to get a job in my field and began doing caregiving. I am 60 years old and have raised three children and have 9 grandkids. I like to cook, walk, read and spend time with family. I have a very positive and can do attitude. I will try to do anything to make a client comfortable, happy and feel like they are contributing. It would be a pleasure to take care of your loved one.
