I am first a people person and like to bring as many smiles i can to people on a daily basis. As I stated in my description, I was raised by my grandmother and subsequently cared for her in-home as her primary caretaker until her transition at 93 years old, from natural causes. Although she was a cancer survivor, had diabetes and was diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's during the last 5 years of her life, she was well cared for by me. Happy, clean and as comfortable as her medical circumstances allowed. I've always had a passion for helping people, so me helping to assist those who can no longer do everything for themselves, seems like a privilege to me. I naturally enjoy conversation with the elderly (they're so wise! And funny!) And assisting them with daily needs that many take for granted is something I do not take lightly. I have no children, only my loving doggy-child, JackyBlu. I love to cook, read and music during my down time. I was a professional hairstylist for years, attended Belmont University with plans to finish my last 2 semesters soon. I have no children, only my loving doggy-child, JackyBlu. I have been in Home Aide for many years. I have taken care if my grandmothers for 10 years, respectively. One was a diabetes patient and was a cancer patient. Both developed dementia and Alzheimer's, subsequently transitioned in 2009 & 2010, respectively. With my training gained from my grandmother's, I worked with several women whom had private contracts with families and have worked freelance, in the private sector for several clients, on and off through the last 9 years. I have been specifically a in-home, non-live in caretaker: meal prep, light cleaning, laundry, bathing, sitting, companionship, etc. All functions related to in-game care for a patient whether in a personal home or an assisted living facility.
