I am retired from State Farm Insurance and seeking part time employment. I was the primary caregiver to my mom for several years. In the beginning, my mom needed help with shopping and housework. After some time, the care increased to medication management and transportation to doctor appointments and other activities. Eventually, she had to be moved to an assisted living facility as my care was no longer enough since I had to work. I know firsthand how important it is to be assured that your loved one is being cared for with all the love and respect that I provided. I was heavily involved in her stay in her new home. I will have to say it was heartbreaking to see the amount of people that need help. I have a heart for the elderly and would consider it an honor to take care of someone and to ensure their family they are being well cared for. Professionally, I worked for State Farm Insurance for 38 years and held various positions within Finance Department that required excellent customer service, communication, organization, multi-tasking as well as extreme accuracy with attention to detail. I have computer experience and am proficient with Microsoft Office software. I am a self-starter, team player and quick learner. I believe this position would be a great fit for me.
