I take pride in providing quality services to those that would otherwise not be able to care for themselves alone. The smile on their faces makes me feel I have accomplished my job. I have always enjoyed helping others and the elderly have a special place in my heart as I was raised to respect others and shared precious moments with my grandparents that I cherish still today. What I find in serving others is that I get an opportunity to learn as well. I am a good listener, client centered with compassion. Empathy is embedded in my personality. Being an experienced caregiver I am familiar with the job and very much enjoy each day at work.
I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION

Attracted of being a caregiver is that I love my jobs and I love what I'm doing is helping people. I enjoyed the most as a caregiver is making someone smile and being a companion to him or her. I'm a very professional and compassionate Caregiver/CCMA with strong work ethics. I care for my clients the way I would want my loved ones cared for . I am very versatile and have in-depth knowledge and training into many different areas of the healthcare field. I have worked with many different clients in the home setting with many different illnesses and diseases such as Alzheimer's, mild - severe, Dementia, mild - severe, Parkinson's, mild- severe, diabetes's, MS, ALS, many different Cancers , Hospice , Palliative care and much more. I use critical independent thinking when caring for my patients which is very important in the home care setting . I know I am the eyes and ears for the health care team and family members so I pay close attention to my patients looking for any changes. I pay close attention to their medications making sure they are working properly. With my knowledge and medical background I am able to communicate effectively and professionally with all individuals on a clients care team which in turn makes it easier for the physicians or other health care professionals to treat the client. This in turns brings great relief for my patients and their loved ones.
1.I became a caregiver, because at the time I had a close relative who needed care and I took the responsibility to care for them after school and it became second nature to me. I then realized that i enjoyed helping those in need and whose who could not help themselves, it make me feel important and it is a good feeling to know that someone trusts you to make them feel better and make life easy for them. 2. As mentioned before, I enjoy feeling important in someones life that they trust me to make their life easier and I enjoy knowing that I am trusted to take on such a huge responsibility. 3. I am most proud of the fact I came to this country at 17 all the way from South Africa and made a life for myself, I have built strong relationships with people, and I have learnt from others and most importantly learnt to become a responsible and respectable member of society. I taught myself to become a care giver without any form of training and over the years as my experience grew, I decided I wanted to really care others and now I am pursuing a career in Nursing. 4. I speak 6 Southern African Languages and currently learning American Sign Language to make that 7 in total, I am currently a Nursing student at West Coast University and I am looking to be a Caregiver as well because it is something I truly enjoy doing. I have 7 years experience working with the elderly in their homes also in several elderly care facilities and I personally enjoy working one on one, because I fully fo
It is with interest and enthusiasm that I'm applying for a position as a home health care professional. I have 27 years and acquired excellent skills in the acute, Subacute, home health and mental health. I believe the hands-on experience I have ever see what being of interest to you.
Although I don't have a C.N.A. license at this time, I have had over 15 + years experience as a C.N.A. I have worked in various hospital settings and just recently started caring for people in their homes. I enjoy working with people in their homes because it is a more relaxed setting. My experience entails transferring, bathing, cooking, cleaning, medication reminders assistance with dressing ADl's to prostheses and blood pressure. I am a good listener, and I enjoy helping people. I was attracted to care giving when I no longer could work in the hospital but care giving gave me another way to still do what I enjoy doing . What I enjoy the most about care giving is that It's easy and it gives me the flexible hours that I need.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm empathetic and compassionate. I don't treat the client like a child. I'm comformative but at the same time safety is key. i do my part by sharing the clients needs. I'm a positive,i don't like to talk about things that will make them feel depressed, but at the same time I'm a good listener. ill clean them well and gently, i don't work fast.i have great time management skills. I'm a great cook and i can bake as well.about me.Ive been married for 23 yrs with 3 grown and successful kids and 2 grandsons with another grandson on the way.I live in Hesperia.ive lived here for 17 years.my driving record is impeccable, I took care of my grandfather while he had colorectal cancer and dementia.he lived here with me and all passed away here at home.Iloved to hear the stories when he was in WWII.I am dependable an on time.I love animals especially dogs.I think skin care is important because as we age our can become very thin so its important to keep the client well hydrated and keep the skin moist.you will like me as soon as you meet me,Iike to make my clients laugh.
Very positive and high energy, i love being a caregiver because being able to help with elderly let's me know that there is someone who cares for them besides family that is willing to be there for them. A personal achievement would have to be communication because it is very hard to communicate with clients who have trust issues due to previous workers.
I became a caregiver right out of high school in 1998 for a friends grandmother for 2yrs. It was then I realized I loved helping people in 2000 I went back to school for my CNA. I work as a CNA until I started a family of my own. I went back to caregiving in 2005 for a number of home care agencies (maxim, home instead, American companion and caregivers) to name a few in 2014 I went back to school retook and received my CNA working in Riverside CA in 2016 I enrolled in school at Summit Career College in Colton CA but after my 2 term I put that on hold to help out my family in Fresno. I am now living in Chino Hills looking forward to get back into a career that has my heart since I was a kid. I am a firm believer if you treat people with love, compassion, empathy, sympathy, and respect that it stands out in your everyday life. My personal achievement would have to be my children one goes to Azusa Pacific University he wants to be a doctor my daughter is going back to school to become an RN and my 18 yr old just inlisted in the army and wants to also work for our country in the nursing field as well. It's not just a job for myself or my children but it's our lives. I always tell my kids what a patient once told me " if you work doing what you love it will show in the work you do naturally" I hope you this gives you a better look into why I became a Caregiver/ CNA
