I love making a difference in people's lives. Before I started caregiving, I worked in sales and customer service. It paid well, but I was MISERABLE! Since becoming a caregiver, I have been much happier. We all have too do something for 40+ hours a week to support ourselves -- it might as well be something that matters!
I will do my best to make your life better in whatever capacity I can!
I am patient and understanding - have personal experience with someone who suffered from dementia . I enjoy listening to the life experiences of older people,

I became a CNA after working as a diet aide in Mt. Vista's retirement community kitchens. For several years I worked in home health as a CNA, 7 great years. I do miss being in the field helping my community out. I work now in physical/skilled nursing rehab to build my skills for RN training. My heart is in home health, and my skill set is built on nursing foundations that you would find in a acute care nursing team. I believe I am a great caregiver because I can connect very easily with those who are in need of help and because I LOVE my job and the people I care for. I believe it is a calling. I have compassion, loyalty and experience, all of which I use when I am working with a client. They are treated as though they belong in my family, I would have it no other way. All they want is to be heard and cared about. I have a lot of love and happiness to spread and I feel my calling as a caregiver helps me to fulfill that. Picking my life up and moving on and following where I am led without hesitation has been a huge personal achievement for me this past year and cannot wait to live out this next chapter in my life, it is an excitement that cannot be put into words. I am a very attentive person who respects our veterans and elders with every ounce of my being. They took care of us first and now it is their turn to be treated with dignity and respect!
