Hello! My name is Amy. I'm a very honest and dependable worker. Compassionate and kind, 32 yr old mother of 2 older boys (age 7 and 11). Bubbly & friendly, I am able to make connections with my patients to give them the comfort and often companionship they often need.
I have been doing patient care for the last 3+ years, after leaving nursing school to care for family after becoming a single mom.
I currently work in a critical care setting, so I have seen everything there is to see in terms of illness. I am also able and willing to give palliative/respite care.
**Currently available for 2-5 year live-in commitment:
My current arrangement with my own family is that my children live with their father. This arrangement allows for my children to live the life they deserve while they are young. They have the best schools, live in a beautiful neighborhood and prefer living closer to their friends (as my ex-husband and I lived in different towns following divorce).
I do get asked a lot about this dynamic and it is what works best for our family, so I like to be open and up front about it.
Thanks for reading!

Being a CNA you have to be able to get on with people of all ages and from all backgrounds, and to be a good communicator. It’s a hard job and one that can be emotionally challenging so you have to be prepared, for. I Belive being a CNA for more then 6 years it just comes natural to care for someone as I would a family member..love helping someone knowing they know their loved ones are taken care of.
I am a passionate caregiver with so many years of experience in caregiving. I am honest , patient ,humble and diligent person who is dedicated and committed to my work. What gets me motivated most as a caregiver is to see that the people I care for are happy and well because of the service I offered. It gives me a high sense of achievement to know that my service as a caregiver has impacted positively on people's live.
I enjoy working and helping people. I am a very patient, kind and caring person. To be a CNA is a very rewarding job. To know that you can make a difference in someone's life, by taking care of them, when they can not do so for themselves any longer. Sometimes just to talk and listen is what's most needed when relatives can not be near. I treat my residents with the care and respect I would like to be treated. I have many years experience in this field and am very confident with my CNA skills.
I am very compassionate, patient and reliable..... I have good organization skills and time management skills....comfortable and deal very well in a hospice situation.....very friendly respectful and outgoing.....
I am an experienced occupational therapist with a background in caregiving. While returning to school as a career changer in my 30s , I worked as a caregiver for a client with severe rheumatoid arthritis, and another with dementia and Parkinson's Disease. I especially enjoyed finding creative ways to redirect my patient with dementia while supporting optimal physical exercise, hydration and PO intake. The family of my patient said she was most hydrated and exercised during my care, and they used me as the standard for the other caregivers. I provided such great care for my client that the family retained my services even after I graduated with my masters degree in occupational therapy! They increased my pay which was nice, but the trust they had in me was such an inspiration. The family would travel out of state and leave their mom in my care. I took care of that client until she passed away years later.
Being a practicing occupational therapist will be a great benefit for the clients I get to work with, because I will certainly bring more than the basic caregiving skills to the job. As an OT, I currently conduct CNA competency training at my facility. I look forward to providing my expertise to family members and other relevant persons in order enhance the care of my patients.
