I love and enjoy being a Caregiver as I care for the elderly. I am committed and a hard working person, a non-smoker, clean, organized, positive minded and cheerful. I go all the way and put a lot of effort in order to get my clients in a better health condition. I like to see them happy and I take pride in my work. I take care of my patients like they are my own parents; with love, compassion, patience, and respect. I've been getting very positive comments on my work from my client's physicians, family members, and friends. I also have great and recent reference that I can send upon request. Thank you!
Personality - This is the single most important ingredient to consider. Caregivers need an innate sense of selflessness and empathy, and sometimes what may seem like a natural personality fit can be deceiving. Most people have a good degree of human compassion but only those with the right set of inner ingredients can voluntarily sustain themselves over time. Don't assume that one personality type is best until you have experience with it. Look for "sweetness," a willingness to serve, an absence of "attitude," and the patience to weather a patient's bad days. Be leery of people who stipulate non-medical tasks they won't do. With the exception of injections, wound care and dispensing medication out of prescription containers, there should not be much they won't do. It's their attitude toward work that matters most. Reliability - Caregivers work largely unsupervised. Hourly caregivers can run into all manner of obstacles in getting to and from their assignment locations and excuses abound. Prior references will provide clues as to whether or not they can be relied upon. Take this seriously but not too seriously. References can provide a measure of what will happen when you are not around but a lot of people are reluctant to disclose negative characteristics about former caregivers. They are unwilling to expose themselves to possible recrimination and often don't want to harm someone's chance to make a living. Honest, caring, loving these some the things that makes me a good care giver.... Being a caregiver for 28 years has helped me in so many ways, I have worked in Hospitals, Nursing home Facilities, Private Duty, etc. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care.
Empathy and compassion, patience, attentiveness, dependable, trustworthy are the personality traits I possess. To play a vital role in one's life that requires my dedication, compassion and stamina caring for someone who needs it, giving back to tired families, making someone smiles, and making a real difference that's what attracted me.

1. When a patient goes to the doctor and have to hear very bad news and suffer from extreme pain, they need a happy face and support. As a caregiver, it's my duty to offer the kind of support and passion that they do not receive in the hospitals. I became a caregiver because I care and I want to offer my help. 2. I like the organizing of daily schedules but most of all I like to keep my clients active especially the elderly. I have researched to prominent causes of increased diseases and pain in elderly clients and the one thing they all have in common is being sedentary. So I enjoy getting my clients active to reduce stress, pain, and increase longevity. 3. I am proud when my clients want me to return. When they are happy with my services and are excited in me returning. 4. I am currently working on gaining more education by becoming a nurse and then later I hope to become a physician assistant.

I am a great caregiver because I am down to earth. I have a lot of patience , understanding ,and respect for others . I love helping others in every way possible , because it brought me great joy to see someone else happy . I became a caregiver because I want to study nursing and I would like to open my own facility where I want to care for the elderly and children's whos in need . In order to be a great nurse , you have to be a great caregiver . I've accomplished many things in life , but what stood out the most are my caregiver experiences, my relationship with my clients , and working towards my nursing degree.
