I am a Care Giver with 7 year of experience. I have worked with a diversity of patients in Geriatric and special need adults and kids. Lately with Hospice Geriatric. Why did you become a Caregiver? 1)I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I'm a CNA/PCA/HHA with over 20 years of experience in both Medical and non Medical services. ( Hospitals, Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing, Subacute Units, Home Health Care, Hospice Care etc) I became an aide because of the love I have for people. I am a hardworking and compassionate person. I keep a clean home and I am a very good cook. For almost 20 years I have worked in the child care industry. I would like the opportunity to care for the elderly. Recently I cared for my mother in law who was diagnosed with cancer who eventually passed. I am knowledgeable in medication/insulin administration, nebulizer treatments, oxygen via nasal cannula and trachea. I enjoy caring for others. I am a single mom to a 11 yr old girl. I'm a business student currently. I've been in healthcare going on 9 years. I have a very broad experience level from homecare to acute hospital care settings including cardiac, med surg, oncology and experience with pretty much all types of potential patients. I'm a hard working person, companionate, level headed, and definitely a multi tasker. I also have owned and operated a small cleaning service for many years for supplemental income.
