I am a passionate, understanding, and considerate caregiver I take my job seriously and treat my patients as if they were my own family. I became a CNA because I love to help people in any way shape or form I enjoy being a CNA because of the different people I get to meet and the experiences I share with them along the way. I am glad I did go and get my CNA I know there's definitely more in store for me.
I had surgery 25 years ago and being dependent on another was a humbling experience. On regaining my health, I went to nursing school, however, the trajectory of my life cut that dream short but haven't denied me the capability to make a difference. I've worked privately these past 15 years in the homes of a few, and today my family comes in all colors. My two recent clients had asked me to stay with them to the end, which I honored. Today, their children stay in constant communication and we visit each other homes. The extra love has been my reward in honoring what I do.... when I see my Jewish and German families.
My initial interest in caregiving began when I started caring for my Grandmother who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1987. I saw the difference it made in her life to have someone available and willing to help her with the things that most of us are able to take care of ourselves. We take for granted every day that we are healthy and able to perform these tasks. It is a blessing to have someone who is available to help us with these things when we are no longer able to do them. In my time as a caregiver, I feel that I have seen and helped with everything from the most basic needs to the most complex. There isn't much that scares me. I am easily able to let difficulties with even the most challenging clients slide right off my back. I have thick skin and I am not easily offended. When I accepted the position with Visiting Angels (my correct employer) back in 2011, not only was I able to supervise a crew of approximately 65 caregivers but I had the opportunity to occasionally assist with filling in for those caregivers in the event of an emergency. Since moving here to Florida in late 2015 I have not had the opportunity to work directly with clients since my work now is mostly computer and phone related supervisory duties, remotely from home. I miss the hands on care and the one on one relationships that are formed when caregiving. I am very interested in helping to supplement my income while making a difference in someone else's life.

I am an honest, productive, forthright individual who possess a solid work ethic. I am a team player who is demonstrative, creates a collaborative work environment, and is willing to take acceptable risk to achieve key objectives. I perform to the best of my ability so the Department, those I work with, and the community as a whole benefit. I am progressive in my attitude and my actions, and believe in leading by example. I take full responsibility for my thoughts, words and deeds. I have strong qualifications in supervision, leadership, public safety, training, firefighting techniques, resource management, grant writing and emergency responses. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with a team and have improved my interpersonal skills through this experience. It has been very worthwhile, and I have an enthusiasm for the work that others have told me is contagious.
I am a hardworking and compassionate person. I keep a clean home and I am a very good cook. For almost 20 years I have worked in the child care industry. I would like the opportunity to care for the elderly. Recently I cared for my mother in law who was diagnosed with cancer who eventually passed. I am knowledgeable in medication/insulin administration, nebulizer treatments, oxygen via nasal cannula and trachea. I enjoy caring for others. It gives me great pleasure knowing I can provide care and assistance to others who are in need of help. I am CPR certified and will be taking an HHA/CNA course in the near future. Please consider me for caring for your loved one, you will not be disappointed.
I worked at home health for 10 years before going to work at the hospital on an OB unit for 27 years and retired in January 2016 and just need to get back into doing some kind of health care I took care of my mom from May 2017 she had cancer and she died in July 2017 and I took care of her in her home until she passed away I like the personalization of taking care of someone in their own home. I have worked in a hospital long enough to know that my love of nursing is with the elderly in in their homes where they feel more comfortable I am proud that I spent 27 years in the hospital taking care of the younger patients but I enjoyed taking care of my mom and knowing that she did not have to go to a nursing home.
