I love helping others and work very well off of a task list. I'm sociable and genuinely care about the welfare of others. I am attracted to caregiving because it allows me to work intimately with people who may need higher levels of assistance. I'm currently taking classes in an LPN program in Chicago. I hope to one day be an RN. I love learning and can be introverted but this helps me pay attention to details that others may miss. I am passionate about helping others, particularly the marginalized in society. I love feeling like I made a difference in the lives of those I serve. I look forward to working with you soon! :)

I have been caregiving most of my life. I started taking care of my grandfather while he was afflicted by Alzheimer's. My first child was born with a brain injury and was considered severe and profound. I chose to love him and take care of him in a home environment for his entire life which grew to 23 years. I also cared for my grandmother throughout all surgeries and aftercare. In addition I have knowledge of spinal cord injuries and care.
I believe I am a great caregiver due to my patient are my life to see them smile and be happy and comfortable With me for the family to be able to leave and know that their family is in good hands with me their needs are more important then just being there to do a job. I am posting this profile to share our wonderful caregiver with another family. My father no longer needs full time care and he doesn't want to lose her to a full time position. Lexi is wonderful. She is attentive to my dad's needs. Experienced with proper lifting, exercise routines, wound care, showering, helps with housework - takes dictation for my dad who has lists of business tasks he likes to keep track of - works with his physical therapists to learn new exercise programs and is mindful of watching for things that indicate he needs additional medical attention. She is on time -- always happy and keeps my dad's spirits up. She is looking for afternoons at least five days a week. She needs to pick up her son from childcare before they close. She is open to overnights on weekends. Her rate is negotiable based on the type of services requested. She had done wound vacs, tub feedings, blood draws, vitals and other specialized care. She is a delight.
Possessing a nurturing nature, caregiving comes naturally to me. I have worked in different personal care capacities for more than two years. I am a compassionate individual who enjoys providing exceptional care to people of different ages. It gives me great satisfaction to help someone, and the job enables me to bring a positive change in the lives of my clients.
I have been a CNA for 5 years. I have worked in a Nursing Home setting as well as Hospital, hospice and Rehabilitation along with Home Health. I started my journey taking care of my grandparents and then passed that honor onto a younger brother as I started school to become an administrator in a nursing home. My goal is still to become an administrator. I have my bachelor's and I'm working on my masters degree and a certificate at the same time. I am looking for something more personalised than a nursing home setting and would like to get back into home health.
