I treat my clients as though they are my family. I always put my self in their shoes. The pain they go through everyday, the frustration of they can't get what they want or understand certain things like they used to. I am always on time. I am a team player, flexible, trustworthy, compassionate, hardworking and honest. But all in all I am always available for my clients. I became a caregiver when I took care of my 80 year old grandmother 10 years ago. She couldn't help her self in every aspect of life, this was so frustrating for her. When I gave a helping hand she was so happy that it rejuvenated her. It was a good feeling to see her smile again. I love caregiving because I love my job but first and foremost I love putting a smile on my clients faces, this makes my day. Personal achievement is I have managed to take my kids to good schools in Africa as well as build my wife and kids a nice home

My name is Kylie, I am 27 years old and I have been a personal care assistant (PCA) for the past 3 years, prior to that i was a Medical Assistant for 2 years. Let me start by saying I am very passionate about what I do and I absolutely LOVE my job! I live in Worcester and I have experience in private in-home healthcare with individuals who have had cerebral palsy, stroke victims, Addison's Disease, the elderly, clients with obesity and severe rheumatoid arthritis. I have experience operating a Hoyer, lifting and transferring individuals, and tending to all patient needs in a timely manner. I work very well independently which is why i prefer in-home settings, but I'm not opposed to facilities. I have experience distributing medications, assisting patients with meal planning and preparation, and assisting with daily grooming and bathing activities. I have maintained patients vital signs and weekly progress for the individuals families. I have provided all daily household chores, shopped for food or other household requirements and even maintained pet care. I have observed the clients physical and mental condition and also provided physical therapy exercise if required. In my opinion, getting to know a patient on a personal level while still maintaining professionalism is a must. I want the individual to have trust in me that I will care for them to the best of my ability. I look forward to hearing from you!

I have a deep passion for helping others. I'm a true believer that we all can speak one language and that's through a smile . If I can make one person smile each day, I did something right . In almost 20 years of my home care experience, everyday is different. I'm always cheerful, funny and positive. Regardless of anyone's limitations. I always encourage everyone. To live their dreams and do as much as they can and want to do and never let anything hold them back. The benefit of hiring someone privately is to be able to do the things you enjoy still, having a caretaker go out of their way to make sure that's possible. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to offer that flexibility and individual care plan based on what your personal needs are. I like being an advocate for my clients and standing up for them in any way whether it's in a doctor's appointment or whether there's other in-home services. I'm always in touch with the families keeping them up-to-date on any changes. I consider myself very reliable. Dedicated and trustworthy. I am very self-driven. I work great under pressure and I I do very well multitasking? I have outstanding references and long employment history.

Skills & Certifications: Vision and Eye Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Stroke, Skin Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Post Surgery Recovery, Parkinson's Disease, Palliative Care, Orthopedic Care, Neurological Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Hospice Care, Home Health Care, Hearing Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Diabetes, Depression, Blood Disorders, Dementia, COPD, Cardiovascular Disorders, Cancer Recovery, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease, ALS

I have always had a passion for helping people. I always knew I wanted to be a health care provider. I received my CNA license at the age of 17. I took time away from the field to raise my 3 children while they were very young, however. It was very important to me to be able to be with them full time. Especially as my middle child was born with a severe disability. So I postponed my career goals at least until all were school age. Upon caring for my mother this past year as she battled terminal lung and brain cancer. I became overwhelmingly inspired to return to nursing. She was admitted to a Hospice facility with \"days\" to live. It was the experience together at this facility I became very inspired seeing the level of care my mother was able to receive in her last days. I was also highly appreciative for the care they staff, and facility gave to my entire family during the darkest days my family had ever experienced. They answered all our questions honestly while maintaining professionalism, but doing it in a way that was comforting and empathetic. My mother was able to pass after 4 days with dignity, and reasonably pain free. They were respectful after her passing and let us take all the time we'd like, and handled my mother with utmost respect cleaning her, and preparing her for the funeral home. They even provided some grief counseling for me about a month later. It was a life changing experience being a part of her final moments, but the caregiver in me couldn't stop thinking about how appreciative I was to this staff. In such a heartbreaking situation was this ray of light calling me back to health care. I wanted to show others, and their families the kind of complete care I was given. I wanted to make a difference and help best I can other families in similar situations get through it a best as can be possible.
