My compassion for people makes me a great caregiver . I became a care giver because I liked to take care of people when I was 12 my grandmother became ill and me and my mom took care of her at home from there I knew being a caregiver was what I wanted to do . I like to see the smile on my patients face when I come into work and to hear them tell me they are glad I'm here and they missed me when I was off that lets me know I'm providing quality care to my residents and it makes me feel good .
Compassion, although it comes naturally, I have continued to cultivate it in my personal and spiritual life. Nothing makes me happier than to know I have in some way made the life of others, more comfortable, bearable, dignified. My first observation of healthcare was in the family setting observing, Mother, and Aunties attend to the needs of those family members who were advanced in age, disabled or in distress just seemed like a natural thing to do. At the age of 14, I volunteered as a "Candystriper." even though I was personally terrified of blood, needles, and that medicinal hospital smell. I love using my education and experience to help clients and their families through difficult times. My proudest moment was successfully completing my Nurses diploma in 1986, graduating from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, on the Dean's list.
I became a great caregiver due to my grandmother she 97 years old, she a strong beautiful lady that really needed help so I took that position and love it.. What I like about being a caregiver my grandmother always told me is good to help other because one day you gonna need help I love the fact that everyone got there own personality yes you gonna have a person that don't want to listen but as a caregiver you have to accept that in love them unconditionally.. My name is Melissa Gonzalez I have 4 wonderful kids I been interested to be a caregiver because it was a incidents that one of a caregiver was treating my grandmother wrong and it hurts me in my heart that there are people out here that does that its not there fault everyone have to appreciate that everyday you wake up another day and be bless about it.. When I seen that happen I took that job and care for her I never seen my grandma shine when she seen me doing a excellent job.. My goals is to be the best caregiver there is and to put a smile on each and everyone..

I am very interested in securing a position within your family or love ones. In my past work experiences, I am known as a dedicated, loyal and hardworking employee with the kind of persistence that gets results. As I am not new to the workforce for I have been juggling multiple jobs, I have made between $18-20 hour and therefore would like to stay within that range or higher. I would like to add that I understand the importance of work and the importance of building strong rapports with my superiors, co-workers and customers served as to "get the job done." I always strive to give the best quality performance which is expected of me and beyond. my hope and desire to be given the opportunity to discuss in person how I may be of service to your organization or love ones. I am sure that I will be able to convey to you that I am what you seek and am willing to become a successful part of your team. I look forward to the possibility of securing such a position and will look forward to your response.
Growing up, every great grandparent, and grandparent on both sides of my family, suffered from the Alzheimer's gene. I watched and assisted with their care and witnessed their deterioration my entire childhood and adult life. Naturally, I sought genetic testing and learned I am a carrier of the gene. I am pursuing a career in medicine with a double major in Biology (for Pre-Med) and Neurosciences (studying regressive neurological diseases and mental disorders). I am also a mom of 2. I enjoy providing companionship care and have extensive experience (both personal and professional) and knowledge of senior care and dementia/Alzheimer's. I provide the same care to families that I would give to my own. I'm a driven, passionate person who enjoys reading, outdoor activities of any kind, and am an avid believer that anything is possible if we set out to achieve it. I hope that I can give your family peace of mind and comfort your loved ones in their time of need.
I have experience in every area; elderly, infant care, dementia, alzhemiers or just being a companion to the patient. I have worked in nursing homes, hospitals and in home care. I enjoy helping people and nursing is my calling; I have never had a patient that was glad to see me go, but always glad to see me come. I go above and beyond the call of duty. My main concern is that the patient is safe and happy and comfortable. I have taken my clients to the movies, out to dinner, or breakfast or brunch, grocery shopping, out of town to Chicago, Arizona, Pittsburgh, The Hamptons, New York Manhattan. I have taken my client to bingo, museums, to the hairdresser or whatever there heart desired. There's nothing I wouldn't do to keep them happy as long as it is safe and appropriate . I am your nurse that is very energetic and always thinking of how I can make a situation better. I am punctual and enjoy nursing. My last client I was with her for 5 years in Washington DC across from the Watergate/Kennedy Center. I dont have a problem with commuting to any job. I have traveled an hour or more away from home and im always on time. I have very very good references to share with you.
