I became a caregiver because I love to serve and help the needy. Before I started a job as a caregiver, I volunteered at the Pre-Ops of Sinai hospital in Baltimore forsix (6) hours, 3 days a week.I care about people, I am a very loving and caring person, full of empathy and I am learning so much in this chosen career from my clients. I am full of joy, I love to sing, read them poems and sometimes we dance together. I love to dress them up. We play cards sometime and some of them watch their favorite game show on T.V and cooking is also a delight to me. I am a great companion on my one -one cases because I love to be fulfilled at work too.

I have a long line of care takers in my family so it's always been my passion to help people live their lives to the fullest. It brings me joy to watch the worry fall off their shoulders the minute I walk through the door. Every one of my clients are treated as if they were my own family. I am most proud of my ability to have patients. I have been pushed to my limit several times but I can always remain calm and talk my way through those crisis. I make friends easily but yet manage to stay professional in my work places. I'm a very relaxed and approachable person, I feel that's very important in my field.

I enjoy taking care of people ..I love putting smiles on their faces and being there in the time of need ..good communication along with a smile and warm heart goes a long way.. i have 19 years of experience and very good at what I do.. I have cared for my grandmother when I was 12.. from then on I knew I wanted to help people in need..tasks I provide is meal prepping medication reminders or administer..errands..light house keeping .bathing.. laundry..Hospice cares..ADLS cares if needed! Can provide 1.1 ..vitals.i am Cpr certified .... cares include ..dressing..bathing...grooming...feeding if needed...exercises include walking if the client is able...outings can include church services.... cath care..ostomy care...can operate a hoyer lift or easy stand...can do blood sugars...I can provide cares also At hospitals and ..facilities.. Socialization..companionship is also a must.....I can work monday thru friday 8 to 12 hours shifts ...every other weekend...can also work shorter shifts ...and holidays are time and a half. paid milage for long distances .. since I won't be with my family during that time ...

I'm a born again man 40 years, I have passion in serving the needy and elderly people. I find fulfillment in doing that. I believe in serving humanity and by doing that I'm serving God. Do unto others the way you would want them do to you.

I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation. I believe an achievement that I can truly be proud of everyday is that I have the ability to take life as it comes and always put things into perspective. I hold my family close to my heart. I became a caregiver for a few reasons. First reason was to peruse my dream of becoming a nurse and secondly because helping others truly is my passion and working with others brings me joy. What I like about being a caregiver is when I can make someone else’s day just a little bit brighter and even easier. This is an accomplishment that I can achieve again and again. Along with this my biggest achievement was being accepting into Metropolitan State University’s Nursing program. This was a goal that seemed very hard to reach but with determination and hard work I was able to prove to myself that I can do anything that I set my mind to. I currently live in Minnetonka MN, with my beloved husband and our joyful kitten Leo. I am on track to graduate with my Nursing degree in 2016.

I cared for my grandmother for six years and my mother for a year when she broke her hip I also had a client I cared for until he passed away in December and I have worked with hospice several times once here with Tom and in Ohio I worked with hospice with several clients I just enjoy being around the seniors they have so much to offer and listening to their stories I really enjoy I also enjoy showing them things that I do and I like to involve them in things that I do and have them show me things that they used to do and do it I just get a lot of joy out of seeing them smile and listen to them
