A caregiver must gain trust from their "clients/patients", and I'm willing to give them just that. The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care. I've been working in this field for over 6years now and I wouldn't change that. My biggest achievement is to grow with the families I work for. I am also CPR/1st AID CERTIFIED.

My name is Joyce, I came into this profession because my mother was a caregiver when I was young. I watch her and how she enjoyed helping others. As I grew and went on my on I tried several different jobs, but none have brought me satisfication than helping others. In 2008 is when I started my life long journey of taking care of others. I started with my parents, stayed with them full time until they laid down to rest. After 2013 my mom fell asleep in death and I went back to school and started my career in caregiving. Now I have a son and it helps me to set an example for him, because he watches me being kind and helpful to other.

She's raised their kids and I grew up watching her and seeing how fulfilled she was by caring for the family and that immediately sparked my interest. I also love to help people. Seeing people in pain or distress makes me want to do whatever necessary to alleviate that pain.
