Hello & I hope you're doing well. My name is Mare & I was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. My interest in care giving began in 1982 when I gave birth to my daughter. Tiffany was born @ CMC w/ no right kidney & only a piece of a left kidney. That's when my caregiving actually began, however I had always wanted to be a nurse. Tiffany had several episodes of heart failure, as well as many seizures. I took the opportunity to learn as much as possible in order to help her in every way I could. Tiffany and I were referred to The Children's Hospital of Alabama where I was taught how to perform peritoneal dialysis. I treated her with paritoneal dialysis in my home for approximately one year. At that time, doctors decided she had to have a transplant. At 18 months, Tiffany was given one of my kidneys. She was put on a great deal of medications and there was a lot of care given to her over her lifespan of 28 years. After Tiffany's passing, I followed my interest in caregiving by working at a hospital as well as an assisted living company. I am a very friendly, patient & caring person who has been taught how to deescalate issues if they arise. I'm also a great listener which makes me believe I am a great companion for those who need it. I would enjoy meeting you and your loved one to see if I can help with their care. I have been a caregiver for 4 almost 5 years now and I love caring for others I've been had the love for it and I will continue to love and enjoy everything that I do. The thing that got me attracted to caregiving is my mother watching her take care of others and I always wanted to fulfill the need of being a caregiver to the elderly and anyone else. A 23 year old man fell down from jogging on the beach ,and had a massive HEART ATTACK AND I KNEW I HAD TO MOVE FAST!!!i BEGAN CPR AND WHEN EMS ARRIVED HE HAD A PULSE AGAIN!!!

I am 30 years old, I have been working as a cna since 2011. I enjoy my line of work because I love working with elderly and I've worked long term care since I was certified. The residents become family I treat them just as I would want my loved ones treated. I find this job very important and it's very important to be on time and dependable so their isn't any mishaps with the care your loved one needs.
