I have always been sensitive to others. Started as a CNA in 1995. The ability to help others gives my life purpose. When I have an assignment to care for someone, its a responsibility not taken likely. Some patients require a more skilled caregiver. I provide up to date care, consistency, and patience. My current status: Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) #G7W6L9C8 EKG TECHNICIAN (CET) #W2M9H7Q6 Licensed Nursing Assistant (NAII) CNA/Certified medication aide #157253 Certified med tech .BLS certification from AHA My main objective is to develop and maintain an effective care plan.
I am a great caregiver because I'm a very outgoing person and compassionate with a big heart for the elderly for they hold special place in my heart. I actually was a Nanny for 5yrs and when she started school I wasn't needed, but the family set me up as a caregiver with a friend of the family. She was 94 yrs and was a sweetheart with spunk. That's how I began my caregiving career. I enjoy taking care of people I'm a very nurturing person. It comes natural for me. I've learned a lot about myself doing this job. I learned that I need to be thankful every day for my good health. I've learned how to take care of catheters, feeding tubes, suction machines, colostomy patients, paralyzed patients, stroke patients. I took care of my Mom who had COPD until she passed and I worked night shift with another patient while doing that. Then When that patient passed away I started with another. Then I finally ended up having to take care of my Dad which I'm so fortunate I could. Now that he has passed I'm ready to start back caregiving for others. This experience allowed me to care for my parents who I loved with all my heart and so thankful that I could.
I always enjoy spending time with the elderly that's a a true way to get blessed. Before this I was also a head cook and Brunswick Cove in winnabow for three years just always enjoy spending time with the elderly actually started as a child. I encourage them to be independent much as they can allowing them to do some things on their own so they don't feel like they are being too needy have experienced those situations as well. I always treated he or she as if they were my own mother or father.
Hi! My name is Amanda, here's a little about myself. I'm confident, energetic, and Passionate. It is essential that a caregiver feels the desire to want to help, by showing both empathy and compassion. I will show the person that I'm caring for, that they are cared about and I'll do whatever it takes and whatever is needed to do to help them in all aspects in their time of need and do everything possible to ensure their comfort and well-being is fully met. All I want to do in life is to help people, it is my mission from our higher power.
I have been an Certified Nursing Assistant for 25 years. I am a strong, dependable, caring, and confident aide. I take pride in the work that I offer to my clients and clients family. One thing thing that I enjoy as a caregiver is seeing my clients happy as well as taking care of those whom need extra love the most.
I have been a C.N.A for over five years now and I love what I do. I have a natural urge to help others. I am a great care giver because when I'm working with my clients I have empathy and compassion. I want the clients to know that I truly care about their well being and I'm there to help as much as possible. I am a very patient caregiver I often times think of myself in the clients shoes and realize it may be hard to get help from someone else but remaining patient and kind helps the client to let their guard down a little. I am a very reliable and dependable person I am someone who can be counted on to be there. I am a trustworthy person. I would consider myself as a Jack of all trades someone who is very valuable and can handle anything that comes my way!!
Hello, My name is Sterling Strickland! I have been a CNA for 8 years. I started off my CNA journey working at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in the Behavioral Health Hospital helping to assist mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients, working under direction of nursing and medical staff. A few years later I continued my journey and started working at Cypress Pointe Rehabilitation a skilled care facility also located in Wilmington, NC. I am currently working as a CNA at Accordius Health and Rehabilitation but have only been working there a short time. Working as a CNA I provided care to some very changeling and sick residents but was able to get to know and become very close with many of them and will cherish the memories and lessons I learned for life.
